Thats rather interesting considering

1. BioWare and everyone that plays it says that BG2 uses the 2nd edition rules. But yet you are the only one that says that is not true



2. Anyone that plays D&D will tell you that the 2nd Edition D&D rules are the complex ones ever made, for any game...Once again you are alone in that category



3. It's obvious that the most complex rules ever made have been implimented into a game = you need to be explained verbaly how to understand it.



Don't know what is so invalid and wrong about 100% pure facts?

You have a weird view of 'facts'
Those aren't facts at all, I learned D&D rules from playing Baldur's Gate 2...a little confusing at first but pretty easy to pick up and get used to--I also played the game without knowing anything at all about D&D(I actually hadn't heard of dungeons and dragons at all at the time).  It never got in the way of my enjoyment--the way I saw it, was that was the way the game was played.  I also had no friends who played D&D, or who played BG2 with me.

But really...most games use the same sorta concept..just easier...you have a level of attack..if your attack doesn't meet the requirements of monster's defence...you miss.  Or do no damage....or something almost like that

Zeromystic... you're wrong again. This isn't just like other RPGs... does it use old school rules/gameplay?... sure... but this is new. Why you gotta go around picking fights? Sure, you can have your opinion and scream it out loud... but we all disagree. Half, if not more, of the people that play this game have played BG, BG2, and a plethora of other oldschool hardcore RPGs, they know what they're talking about. It's you versus the world bud...



This game is worthy of most of the hype it got... seeing as it's scoring bucket fulls of 9 outta tens, 90 outta ahundreds, 4.5 outta 5s...



You say if we don't like your opinion don't read it, or challenge it... yet you're being severely hypocritical by telling all us we're wrong.

You actually didn't read his post properly..he SAYS in his post that it's TRUE that BG2 uses the 2nd edition rules.

He said all your other 'facts' are false...because well..they aren't facts lol
They apply to how you feel..you can't make something a fact because you think 'everything thinks so'...it doesn't work that way.
I never had to be verbally taught 2nd Edition D&D rules...I learned it from the game, I just put 2 and 2 together and figured it out slowly
It also never hampered my enjoyment of the game

Therefore...those aren't FACTS..sure they might apply to a majority(which can't really be proved whether that's true or not)---but they don't apply to me, and I'm sure there's other people they don't apply to

There is a difference between going through the game and skimming through the tactics menu and being under the illusion of thinking you know the ins and outs of the gmae, and actually knowing about how the game is actually put together for total and actual playing.



I know more about this game than most people here that only play the game, and Believe me it's not through playing. There is a very very sever in depth layout that was published by Bioware/EA that goes into things that are not even discussed in the game so the only way to know about it is to have that rlease, which BTW I have. So before you go off talking only on part of what you are under the illusion on, try gathering released facts by the company that were never put into the game.



That is all I'm going to say..............And no I will not go into detailed explanations about anything I just said.

Comparing this game to WoW... its like 3x better because you don't have to deal with annoying people or noobs messaging you about how awesome your gear is. Oh, and you also have no need to worry about wiping 10 thousand times, because you get to control the entire party!!! I find it amusing how people think that you have to play the game in order to be able to fully understand it. I could be in the game for 1 min and still know more than most people.

And for the record that is longer than 9 min it's at least a half hour

Anyway it does not matter to me if any of you believe me or not, i am not the one who doesn't have the information

What is relevant is that people are now saying is that BioWare is lying, and doesn't have a clue to what they are talking about. It really is so sad how people think that the only information about this game is found in the game.

Deliberate misquotation of other peoples' posts, refusal to answer direct questions ('because you don't have to', apparently), refusal to back up 'facts' with citations to proper evidence (such as this apparent 'release' by EA/ Bioware?), statements based around the 'I'm right, you're just wrong... Because I said so' sentiment... This fella is adding nothing.

People aren't lazy to go out and find the information themselves. You can't say 'I can prove it... But you need to go out and look for the proof yourself'. People won't believe you unless you actually provide a link. What's to stop us from saying that you're being lazy yourself in not actually providing something that is solid and defensible?

Heck, if all scientific research made bold claims but stated 'oh, by the way, go and look up the facts yourself', then we wouldn't be getting very far as a species.

Oh really??? Want to tell me about The Blood Mage skill tree then??? Yeaaahhhh didn't think so....Say how many tactic slots can a character have in DA:O?
