I stated exactly where I got my information from at least 9 times probably more, people are just to dumb to read and comprehnd it.
Anyway why should I give info I happened to find on my own by doing some digging, to a bunch of Lazy people who do not do research for themselves, then think they know it all, call people liars, cannot read where the source is and or read it and completely ignore it, then demand I give them information and if I don't I'm lying.
I say again, are people lazy in not digging this information up themselves, or are you lazy in not providing it?
Furthermore, you didn't state where you got this information from, anyway. You just lazily waved your hand towards something that is still yet UNDEFINED with a vague 'oh, it was some sort of release from EA and Bioware that I've got' statement.
See last post.
Moto out. This thread does nothing for anyone.

If you post a link completely proving everything you've said and showing us that... wait... actually nevermind that won't happen. Good luck trolling man... the fact is you've been revealed as to who you really are, and I frankly don't even know why I'm posting anymore...

Zero, you said this game is just like 15 other RPGs you've played. So? Sorry to break this to you, but your opinion is meaningless to us, just like OUR opinions are meaningless to YOU. The ONLY thing that matters to each of us is how we feel about the game. Many people are enjoying the game. Some are not. Welcome to the real world. YOUR opinion that the game is identical has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on any of us. I'm sorry to have to break that to you, I know you feel that you should be treated with the honor and respect a lord such as yourself is due. But the fact remains you are no lord; you're just another dweeb on the intranet just like the rest of us. BuhBye.

You're post was about what is different about this game. Whether you like the game or not it has an extremely in depth world, phenomenal voice acting, great characters, and a compelling story (it may be cliche, but the characters make it compelling). I don't think that I have ever played a game with better characters. The banter between Morrigan and just about any other character is awesome. Are any of those things completely new? No they aren't, but it does them better than any games that have come out in a long time.
You may form an opinion by reading about a game, but it is not a credible, informed opinion. I know a lot about London, but I have never been there. If I were to give an opinion on whether it is a good or bad city it would be rather silly of me. I could say that I think I will not like it, but I can't form a legitimate opinion on it.

Grow up.
I'm Isaac Newton, and I have realised the existence of a law I call the law of Gravity. However, I will not try to convince any of you lazy buggers it's true. I'll just stand here and shout "LAWL, GRAVITY EXISTS, NAB!" and unless you're lazy, you'll figure out why I'm right at some point.
Isaac Newton was at the very least very very informed in his opinion, but if he had done as I did in the previous paragraph, I don't think he had convinced anyone that gravity existed. You keep referring to some information Bioware released. When having a proper logical argument, you're not supposed to source your opponents wild claims, you're supposed to source your own.

It really is so sad how people think that the only information about this game is found in the game.
Working around the clock, wrexingcrew and his crack team of operatives have obtained the following document.
"TOP SECRET MEMO: ZEROMYSTIC EYES ONLY
DATE: 11.2.2009
SUBJECT: SECRET DA:O INFORMATION
Zero, we have no one left to turn to. It is vital that you keep the information we are about to provide in strict confidence until November 8. At that time, we need you to begin a thread and inform the community that
[PORTIONS REDACTED]
Whatever you do, do not reveal the actual information. The Terrible Secret of DA:O would wreak havok upon civilization as we know it. Merely allude to this document...DO NOT DICLOSE ITS CONTENTS. The fate of the world is in your hands. Troll wisely, and Maker be with you."

I love this game. But man, some people are really angry that ZeroMystic isn't seeing things the way they do. A difference in perspective is threatening, I guess. I enjoy the game for the story and the setting (and some of the characters are interesting to me), but I'm not going to bash someone for not sharing my opinion on an RPG.
You're wrong. I have a secret memo here that says you're wrong on every single level of everything you just said.
He's entitled to his opinion. But he's not necessarily entitled to have his opinion without ridicule. That's not what freedom of speech is about. The problem is that he stated "lolz, this game is pretty bland" at a time where he had played less than half an hour of it. I'm all for a critical dialogue about the game. But I'd like to discuss with a person who actually knows what he is talking about. Not Zero, who hasn't exactly proven to know what the heck he's talking about.

BIOWARE RELEASED THIS INFORMATION. Is not a citation. If I said ZERO MYSTIC RELEASED THIS INFO to my professor and told her she had to look it up...well I would be charged with plagerism or strangled. Whichever is more appropriate. You did not cite anything, you have not said anything of value. You are a troll, When you have been asked for examples you do not give them. My response is immature and I admit it. Please kill yourself. I can use the air you are wasting for more productive things. This became a hate topic because YOU started ripping on people, when we asked you to back up your claim. So in the end your suffering is your fault.
So end your suffering

However, it has many glitches - which is not surprising, Bio tried something completely new here. Unfortunately many "glitches" are things we're well used to from other RPG games ...

False, ergo a statement made out of ignorance. Der Schwarze Auge was far more complex, and there's a ton of far more complex games than even that out there. Look up Shadows of Rivera and tell me that isn't a load of bull.Fact 1
Everyone who knows anything about D&D knows that the 2nd Edition D&D rules are the most complex rules system ever made for any game.
False, ergo an assumption. You can pick up 2nd edition D&D rules by reading. You can also learn this by being tutored by text via someone else. I only 'got' 2nd edition via text from someone else and from backwardsly applying 3rd edition rules to 2nd edition.Fact 2:
Everyone who knows anything about D&D knows that in order to actually fully understand the the 2nd Edition D&D rules, someone has to verbally go over all the mechanics of it with you.
True. This is a fact.FACT 3:
Anyone that knows about BG2, knows that Balder's gate 2 has and uses the 2nd edition D&D rules
Or fourth if you can count on one hand. I know a good deal about 2nd edition rules and I did play BG2 and BG back before I understood anything about it, and the only thing that really confused me was how less armor class made me harder to hit. So, it's arguably true, but I've heard of people who fully enjoyed the game without even knowing what magic missile really did.FINAL FACT:
Anyone that knows about the 2nd Edition D&D rules and knows about BG2, knows that the only way the game can be played enjoyably, IS by having a very good understanding of the 2nd Edition D&D rules.
The explaination still is pretty dumb, but it has nothing on Der Schwarze Auge, where you need to roll below your skill to get a success. (if you have 15 in mining, you need to roll below 15 to succeed on a d20. Rolling a 20, thus means a failure.)
If I was talking out of my ass as much as you, I'd be using a rectoscope.Again everything I said is 100% valid and factual
This was never disputed, thus ignorable. It was a misapplied quote.1. BioWare and everyone that plays it
says that BG2 uses the 2nd edition rules. But yet you are the only one
that says that is not true
Uhuh... Even more complex than the rules back when elf was a class and not a race? Though for any game is even more arguably incorrect. I'd say Planescape was even more confusing.2. Anyone that plays D&D will
tell you that the 2nd Edition D&D rules are the complex ones ever
made, for any game...Once again you are alone in that category
It's obvious that everyone who ever played D&D second edition in tabletop were thus talked through how to play it and never read the rulebooks is what you are stating. This is retroactively false.3.
It's obvious that the most complex rules ever made have been
implimented into a game = you need to be explained verbaly how to
understand it.
Facts are based on knowledge and certainty. You're ignorant and have no basis for argumentation. This invalidates your statements equal to that of something misconstruing the truth to fit their own personal definitions; A liar. Good day sir.Don't know what is so invalid and wrong about 100% pure facts?
