Like i said, its a long shot. But you cant deny one, if not a couple of simularities. The year of death being the time when the reapers return to wipe out sentient life. His instruments could either be his indoctrinated (or manipulated) servants, like Saren and his geth or, literally, his on-board weapons (he could be described as wielding both). Stealth could imply sovereign acting behind the scenes, to the point where, even after the citadel attack, he is considered a myth. Touching us with ease- no matter who it is, Saren or Benezia or whoever, will ultimately fall under indoctrination, as if sovereign is touching their minds with ease.
And, no, i don't actually seriously peice the two together, i only thought it would be fun to share something found.
