I have been messing with everything I can find, have made sure my default players have a spec point to start with but I can't get the GUI to ever show it. Once i get out of chargen I get the level up and have the point but I want it to show up like it does in Awakening's chargen. Any ideas where this is defined?

It's probably a function that we don't have in the current toolset that is used to get that screen to show.

I think your right but I'm hoping someone from bioware can confirm or deny that for us

It's hardcoded into the GUI to check for the Awakening module name. Late reply, but I didn't see this until now (not that I'm in any way associated with BioWare).
Self-referencing source: http://social.biowar.../614500#1635267. I could always pull up the script itself in the GUI, but it's not DAScript but Flash ActionScript.
That can be changed actually, but there really should be some group or coordination for modding a single resource like that.
