I'm looking to go through a second time with my Vanguard character. Right now (off the top of my head), I have maxed Heavy Charge, Heavy Barrier, Area Shockwave, and Champion. That leaves me six or  nine points right now for either incindery, cyro ammo, or pull but I'm not suer which ones to really use. I wish I could just sub out one of them for warp ammo.

Thank you.

shockwave should not be used on a vanguard the 3 top abilities are Heavy Charge, Guardian, and Incendiary ammo in that order. After that you could go for squad cryo and/or reave but the vanguard is built around those 3 abilities.

Respec, and follow my build:

4 Inferno Ammo
4 Squad Cryo Ammo
4 Heavy Charge
4 Destroyer/Champion (either one)
4 Squad Armor-Piercing Ammo

EDIT: Feel free to swap AP Ammo for what ever bonus power you happen to like. I'm partial to dominate, myself. Distracts opponents with a low recharge, letting you get in there and take them out while they're distracted.

Try Slam as a bonus power. A bonus power isn't really needed at all, but Slam is quite entertaining :)

Personally I'd say go with champion rather than destroyer, but whatever works for you.

Heavy Charge

Champion

Inferno

Squad cryo

that's the order I build in. I'd get rid of barrier since.. well, it takes up valuable charge time.

Have fun!

Swap Reave or Energy Drain depending on the mission.

You'll only need Heavy Charge and maybe Champion (passive powers are all good). The rest depends on the mission and squadies you'll bring. Remember you can retrain your powers after you've completed Horizon (you should have maxed Charge and Champion by then).

Inferno Ammo is only worth putting points in if you max it. Until then just bring Jacob or Grunt along with the squad version. Same with Cryo, only put points in it to max it. Shockwave and Pull are useful (especially during certain missions). Just retrain powers after leveling, having the right tools for the right job at the right time.
