Hello all!

I really need some help as I am getting frustrated with this problem...

I started Mass Effect 2, and downloaded the Firewalker Mission Pack when I saw it was available within the game. I installed the DLC, restarted the game, and saw the email about the Firewalker missions from your terminal etc, etc.

So I played through the first tutorial mission, then saved and exited the game. Now when I try to "Resume" the game, it responds with a error message that the saved game cannot be used because the Firewalker Mission Pack is "not installed". I tried to do a manual reload of a previous saved game without success. Same error message.

I checked and confirmed that the mission pack was indeed installed. I tried re-installing the DLC and got the same error message.

BTW, all other DLC's worked fine - the armor sets, the additional weapons etc.

Any ideas?

Did you also install (or re-install) the patch 1.01?

Hi Bravenu3,

No, I did not re-install the patch. Hmm...should I? Seemed kinda funny that the DLC should work the first time and being "not recognized" the next time I start up the game. Sigh...wonder if it's the online DRM scheme they have. Read that there's a bunch of problems over in the DA-O forums on DLC's too. Fortunately I have had no problems (yet) with my copy of DA-O.

Yeah, funny-buggy computer stuff ;-D

That's how I would try a repair: re-install the small parts first, entire game somewhere low on the list, re-install OS at the very bottom ;-)

I would make a bet on this ****ty DRM system as well. The DLCs you are eligible to are noted in an encrypted file that is checked online upon installing a new DLC. This is the first and last game I let my self get trapped in DRM :-(
