Okay. So by using your logic, you're saying that the DLC is comparable to physical violence because it takes up space on your RAM stick?

If you mean they are similar because I am able to complain about both, yes.
If you mean in terms of severity, no.
You and that other poster are really bad at reasoning.

I don't really mind that it was crap because it was free. My only concern is that Bioware may be saying the same thing to themselves to justify it.

Where? I flat out said your take on my example was wrong and that the "it is free don't complain" sentiment is illogical. It is used to escape examination of what was really given.
I have not backed down, reworded, or changed my mind on that.

Ok, I would like to point out that 'constructive' complaints will get better results than flaming.

I would also like to point out that there is a subtle but important difference between 'free' and 'included in purchase price'. To prove this point you get Cerberus Access 1 by 'Purchasing' the game new or 2 'purchasing' the code. Thus the Cerberus content is not 'free'.

I reserve the right as a consumer who paid for a product to offer complaint even about materials that came 'included in purchase price'.

Just because somethings free doesn't mean it's not crap.

I don't feel like reading it and shouldn't you be in the Bioware Fail thread defending their rubbish comp?

Okay, but nobody was saying that it wasn't crap, they were saying that you shouldn't be complaining that a free product is not solid gold.

But a lot of people do call it rubbish, and yet still understand that it's free, and not to expect much. Simple concept.

.... then don't release free rubbish, simple, release good DLC and charge for it.

Wasting resources on free DLC that stinks, whats the point?

'if' Bioware does consider the firewalker pack to be a 'concept demo' of the Hammerhead offered to Cerberus Network members than there is MORE not less reason to point out to them where the community feels it falls short. Are they obligated to follow this feedback with changes to the bit of programming? No. Are we obligated to pay for further content if we feel it is lacking in quality? Also no.

I should point out; I have not yet played the Firewalker content, I cannot comment on it's quality or lack. I post in defense of those who feel comment or complaint is warrented even where content is given without additional cost.

Someone else used the metaphor of Game Demo's being free, if I downloaded a demo and it did not impress me, or it would not run properly on my hardware, I would not buy the game, nor would I recommend the game to anyone I knew.

BioWare would never progress if they only came out with things that Everyone Likes. That would be impossible. To you, it's rubbish. To me, it's good. I wouldn't pay for the Hammerhead missions, but as far as free content goes, it's decent. I don't assume to know what BioWare is thinking when they start a project, but when I heard about the Cerberus Network offering free DLC, I knew it was not going to be anything special. Assuming BioWare is purposefully making their DLC bad is not the greatest attitude of expectation.

The only reason it was free is because the devs knew it should have been included in the original game and it should have been a much larger aspect of the game, instead of the cop out it is now.

You make presumptions on things which you really have no idea.

Well, never heard it worded like that. I heard stuff from Mods/BW that BW can't make things to one persons liking and they can't make things so that everyone is happy. Your line looks like a bastardization of some those BW postings.
If you want to support Bioware so much realize people providing feedback are helping in their own way, if it doesn't meet your quality meter keep in mind it is not your meter anyone cares about.

Second bolded statement. People are not assuming BW is purposefully making rubish. People are providing feedback that the DLC is rubish, bad, needs improvement, or whatever so that more DLC will be repeat the issues of Firewalker be it free or pay2play DLC.

But I've wasted too much time on these boards today. Have fun complaining about things that don't matter.

Yeah that says BW is making bad DLC on purpose alright. If you think it doesn't matter then you are the one wasting your time complaining about the complainers. Me on the other hand, this matters enough for me to press submit.

Haven't had much of a chance to download it yet since I'm made a lot of changes to my config file.

Having said that, there's an issue with saying "it's free".

And that issue is that the stuff that I put into my toilet is free.

This isn't to say that Bioware gave us crumby DLC, rather that I have quite a problem with that stance.
