It's free, but it also just seems like a waste of team resources. It doesn't add a whole lot to the game, and I'd much rather the time be spent on kasumi or awakenings type add ons.

LOOK AT ME GAIZ I BE TROLLIN FO SHO DAWG!

Since you seem intent on picking apart peoples comparisons to physical purchases I'm going to see if I can break through here, but I doubt it.

Imagine this scenario:
You go out and buy a TV, but it's got no remote so you call customer service. They say "Oh well that model doesn't come with a remote but we'll have it done in a few months, you can come pick it up if you've bought a membership to our "tv-club" for 1200 M$ points or if you bought it in our stores you'll get a membership for free."
So 4 months later you go pick it up and it's got
1. an on-switch
2. it doesn't work unless you're 1 feet from the tv
3. it only comes in pink pastel.
and
4. It needs to be plugged in with a 2 feet long power cable to operate
5. It should have come with the tv in the first place but the producer didn't get their thumbs out to get it done in time so they decided to use it as bonus content instead of postponing the release date of the tv.

Yeah, I'm sure you'd be thrilled due to the fact that it had a sticker on it that read "BioWare", the rest of us wouldn't stand for it., so now you can stop the obvious blind fanboi brand-worship, thank you and good night.

*facepalm*

There are legitimate reasons to dislike the Hammerhead, and the content in it. Then there are these. Physical purchase comparisons do not work because ME 2 is a complete experience without the HH, the HH adds nothing to the experience and leaving it out takes away nothing.

EDIT:  Ok just for fun I'm going to play along with this line of reasoning.  Say I bought Max payne when it launched Ten Years ago.  I got the game but I also got a mousepad that came with it.  Crap this mousepad isn't the right texture it is useless, OMG MAX PAYNE IS RUINED.

See that doesn't work and none of the other comparisons in the thread work.

EDIT: LOL, hold on I think I'm on to something with this analogy that is missing from the others, Dead serious.  Its still ****ing stupid though.

No offense but that's probably the worst analogy I've ever read. Honestly I don't know if I agree or disagree with you because I have no idea what you were even trying to say.

No you can just talk about it.

honestly it's free, it's short linear and not super amazingly awesome best mission ever so they made it free. when we GET a super amazing best mission ever then they'll probably release that premium dlc. Hammerhead is great the OP said so but ****ing because you're being handed out some test beds to try it out in is just PETTY. :(

Well then I found the DLC too exploitable. Enemies would not even shoot at me if I stayed at range. Controlling the vehicle felt chaotic in a physic defying way. It can bounce from any distance and not take fall damage but a few shots from Geth troopers and it will explode.

The klaxon, smoke, fire, and then explode are all warnings of damage but I would think a better indicator would be a visual bar for health, maybe shields if it even has any.

The missions were short and mostly boring.

It has potential only if Bioware addresses the concerns of the fans.

I personally thought the Hammerhead stuff was ok....not great, not terrible, just ok. So obviously I have no problem with someone disliking it.

However, we don't need a new thread every time somebody dislikes something. Seriously. It's getting retarded. You aren't unique, witty, or special enough that we need to hear why YOU, personally, have a problem with the game in an entirely new thread. And that's directed at people in general, not just the thread starter.

So you are just jealous others can express their opinion? If there are so many threads about it contact a mod and try can get a consolidated sticky.

Telling people to hush without providing someway for their voice to be heard is just telling them to shutup, not productive and insulting.

I thought the visual indicators were iffy at best.  I'd prefer hudless but the way they have implimented in Firewalker isn't that good.

Yeah, I'm jealous people are expressing their opinion on a public forum. That makes sense.

People don't read. There is already a 28 page thread about the Hammerhead:

http://social.biowar...3/index/1866697

There is a billion pre-made threads here where people can complain to their heart's content about virtually any topic. It took me 2 seconds to find that. Instead of making an entirely new thread, which is similar in tone and content to a billion other threads and/or posts, take 2 seconds to find a thread on the topic and post in it. Then people wonder why the tone is "STFU" when person 1243957840958 makes a thread saying the same stuff that was said a week ago.

There are threads that seem to overlap, yes. Hammerhead and a bunch of other topics. I don't see why there is so much concern over this topic.

I can count and I don't count a billion of these threads. I see in this section 1 Hammerhead thread which is this one and a Mako for ME3 thread which is a few pages deeper. Two different topics, that have some overlap but are different.

The tone a person takes is their fault.

If the person is ill towards others just because they don't know the right place to post, it is also that persons fault, in other words your reaction is your responsibility.

It's funny how people keep coming up with "comparisons" that are nothing like whats happening here.

"You'd complain about free tires that break!"
"You'd complain about a free slap to the face!"
"You'd complain about a free pile of **** on your hands!"

What, is this thread a reunion of Strawman arguements R Us or something?

Yes people getting mediocore free DLC is completely equal to getting faulty tires which could kill you, a slap to the face which would hurt you, and someone ****ting on you, which some freaky people might find sexy. Mhm. Flawless internet logic at work.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

bigeyes those are called analigies /senarios/examples  in regards to the weak overly spammed answer of   its free  shut up
the point of it being it doesnt matter if the tires were free you  you would complain  about  them and  have every right  to   . But without  being instantantly  getting flammed with its  free shut up  its  free dont complain   is just fail  a product is a product  free or not  still is deserving of assesment of its quality or content , thats how thing get better

None of the analogies work though! Not at all!

I could make a clear cut argument about why the Hammerhead sucks or why it is good and it would be using the basis of my opinion as argument rather than logic that simply just does not work. I do not have to prove my opinion to myself with this nonsense! I'll use my opinion in my argument without it!

EDIT: Actually my mock analogy is the one that works the closest, for some reason.

I was trying to say that Free =/= Beyond criticism, especially when the free stuff is only free if you bought the thing the bonus is for via an official retailer. (If you bought ME2 second hand you pay to get access to the DLC's.via cerberus network) . If the "free" bonus stuff is crap then you are entitled to complain about it even if you didn't technically pay a dime for it.

Firewalker Pack: Should have been in the game at release, it was instead hyped up and isn't near being worth it, at all.

You are clearly a half retarded adult baby. It's not crying it's criticism albeit angry raging criticism it was criticism nonetheless. If you don't critique something they will think it was fine the way it was and do it again and again and again. Maybe you love getting butt****ed with sub par content but some people don't.

It's one thing to complain about the DLC not being entertaining.

But when you are insulted, or feel you were treated unjustly because of the quality of the DLC, that's when you deserve a "It's free, shaddap." Remark. The moment you compare getting free gaming you don't like to a slap in the face, you don't really have anything to say worth listening to.

I agree with some other people here. if u don't like it, don't play it, it wasn't that bad, something to do, extra xp, small but still, and 5 missions of bouncing around a landscape shooting rockets at random stuff wasnt to bad.

Clearly this is what I am, or perhaps you're just a blithering idiot. I'm inclined to believe it's the latter. I don't feel "butt****ed" with sub-par content. I didn't find the Firewalker DLC enjoyable in any way, but it was free, so I don't feel the need to whine like a 6 year old girl over it.
