Thats the funny thing about you "buy-play through-shelf" guys....a couple of days after a game is released you ask for the next one....

They need to do some serious rethinking about plot points, character development, unique places/maps, and combat. DA2 was about half of what DAO was, both content wise and overall quality. I'd give it only a 5/10 in comparison to DAO. They need to take a step back and concentrate on quality game elements and not rush a third game like they did with the second.

@black 0rchid... i been doing some reading on DAII but i think the game was made short like that for a reason... i saw alot of ppl saying that DAII, MIGHT be just a prologue to the event in DA3 and to be honest im rlly starting to believe that, i mean i understand EA wants to rush games so they can get money faster but i dont think they're that dumb after all... I'll be honest i rlly think DAII was so short for a reason, and i have a feeling that when DA3 comes out that we'll find out why

i have a feeling that DA3 will probly have hawke and the warden as main characters due to the facts in DAO and DA2.. i mean think about it, end of DAO... warden disappears without a trace..
DA2 ends, hawk disappears aswell without a trace.. Something BIG will happen in DA3... flemeth was involved in the events of DAO and DA2, secretly pulling strings here and there. I dont think that their disappearences are just a coincedence... and that funny enough that at the same time the world of thedas breaks out into civil war again.. i dont think that the civil war between the mages and the templars are the main event of DA3, for a few reason.. 1. the chantry are actually allowing the events of DA2 to happen 2. they're desperately searching for hawke and the warden. 3. flemeth the almight witch of the wild who survived for centuries, just decides to help hawke because he has to go kirkwall so he can deliver an amulet there... nah its defently just a prologue of whats will come... to me its kinda genius if u allow a civil war to start and some guy to rise to the status of a hero like hawke did, because the chantry needs a "champion" for some strange reason... i bet that there's something bad happening that we don't knw about, why else would the chantry want to find the "hero of ferelden" and the "champion of kirkwall"?? pfff im telling u there's something big coming this way ;)

Yeah, in fact I hope DA3 gonna be about Hawke and co. Cause the story line seems to be epic.

The return of Hawke would be great, I would like that; get some questions answered. Although, a real challenge to bioware would be the return of the Warden as a fully voiced character.

I mean think about it: the camera swoops down from the clouds to show a lone figure walking across a desert. The camera moves in closer as the figure turns around to reveal the Warden. Then some traveller approaches to ask where the Warden is going, the dialogue choices come up, you click one of the choices, and you are taken aback by this once silent protagonist finally having a voice. Yay!

Or something to that effect, I think I’ll leave it up to bioware.

Bit tricky I say.

BUT I suppose this bridge will be crossed...should it appear one day.

I would love for my Warden character to come back as the main character, but since the story continues if he dies, unlike mass effect 2 where Shepard dies thats the end of the story, I only see the Warden having a small role in the 3rd game. I think it will either be about Hawk or a new character

Playing as the Warden's child would be awesome, but it'd require that you're male and went through that ritual with Morrigan. Besides, if you did that, your Warden would still be alive, so you might as well play as him.

Anyway, I just hope we don't get a pre-determined character like in DA2. Maybe it's just me, but I like to build my characters from scratch in a roleplaying game. I don't like if appearance, voice, gender/race/class (or any combination thereof), background, etc. is forced upon you. It just doesn't feel like I'm playing my character but someone else's.

If DA3 is anything like DA2, I wont buy it either.

DA:O was a game for roleplayers.

DA2 was a money making scheme.

DA3, well, its not like the market of roleplaying games is overflowing, so yeah if its any good I'll buy it. But if its another money making scheme I'm just not interested.

I *like* playing an elf, thank you very much.

I *like* giving my character an own name.

I *like* having a complex rulesystem ... DA:O was already not very big on that one, everyone but mages had only very few options.

I *like* having a large party ... again DA:O was very weak on that and SWTOR, albeit an MMO, will be very weak as well.

It would be next to impossible to have have either the Warden or the Champion as the PC in DA:3, it's just not going to happen. It will be a third story in the same universe and will have some cameos and references to previous games.

The only way to force characters from previous games into a sequel is to force players down the same path where their choices are irrelevant to the story. Depending on player choices in DA:O, DA:A and DA:2, some players and/or companions might be alive or dead, in love or bitter or entirely ignored.

The best we can expect with current RPG game tech is that importing previous saves will create a few "cool" moments with references to earlier play throughs.

It's important to remember that there is still no good way to completely sandbox a RPG yet. You take a role in a pre-defined story written by the developers with a few points of customization.

DA:O seems to have resonated with more players from a story perspective, the story was more cohesive, yet allowed more starting and ending choices while giving you the illusion of wider ranging travel whereas DA:2's story was spread over more time instead of geography.
It's not easy to find a good open ended story that provides the options they had in DA:O, and even harder to find one that would translate into sequels.

The best way, or what seems to be the best way, for the continuation of a game with a story that has multiple endings: Retroactive Continuity! *Heroic tone*. I hate it, but game developers do what they must.

Like the Grey Wardens :)

or maybe not...

Hmm.. i think DA2 was a bit straight...
not enough sidepaths.... i want to feel free in a world, DAO gave me that feeling...
DA2 destroyes it completely...
I hope the champion will never return. He's just a strong peasant. I want wardens, frightning and victorius, it's where the game is based on (together with the Darkspawn ofc.).:bandit:

Not true, if you are female (I tried it) then you must convince Allistar to have sex with morrigan, and she will also bare a child. but idd. it requires that you you or Allistar did had a good night with Morrigan.:innocent:

To bad not every one is as greedy as casual people... just to grab another chance to live<_<:D

Honestly they should make it so that when you start you get to choice who you play as (weither its Hawk or the Hero). One thing they need to do is change the map settings/look for dungouns. I didnt like how you would go in a car in the mountins and then the sewers in DA2 an it would be the same place. I loved Origins and i liked DA2. just hope they dont cut any corners for DA3.    (dont mind the spelling, it sucks ^.^)

I just finished DA2, because I wanted to finish DA:O 100% before I started 2, and I did, have to say, althought 2 was nothing compaired to DA:O, the game is still a masterpiece, I look forward to future DLC, I miss my Warden character though, need to bring him in somehow please.

DA2 isn't even on the same level with Origins...its like trying to compare yogurt with ice cream. If Bioware focused on the PC for DA2 instead of dumbing just about everything down for the consoles, DA2 would have been great, but still maybe not AS good as DAO. When I play as Hawke it doesn't really grab my interest or "suck" me into the game. I feel like a spectator in DA2. In DAO I felt like I was really affecting the events of the game and I was actually in it, in a sense.

I really hope they make a Dragon Age 3 soon. Unless they plan on making a very big expansion or something like that for Dragon Age 2 then i think they should just start production for DA:3. Which i hope will come out December 2014 lol

Hello DA Fans! This is my first time posting here.

For DA3, I would love to see the Warden and Hawke character combined into one character. Perhaps starting in the Fade...thought since both of them are missing, that is where they might be? Let me know what you think of the idea.

Flemeth is one of the Old Golds, and is tryin revive the others alive, but without the taint of the darkspawn so she send morrigan to capture the soul of the last archdemon, once morrigan were with the child on womb Flemeth would do the ritual to take her body or simply take the child for herself. Morrigan scared of Flemeth plans runned away from her reach using the Arlathan mirror to raise the children and figure out flemeth plans.Once flemeth take the soul of the remaining old gods she can strike the chantry and impose her rule over thedas.

What makes me happy is to see the map of Thedas and think of all possibilities for histories and future games, DAO and only tok place in Ferelden and DA2 in one city onf the Free marches. Maybe they can make another game Griffon Age in Anderfells with the discovery that some griffon are alive and the wardens return with their glory

If they do make DA:3 (Which I hope they do, I would suspect most likely we would play as a Seeker, possibly working for or with Cassandra, and Leliana. There certainly was a large door open at the end of DA:2 for a sequel, one revolving on events that could occur after the events in Kirkwall. My guess would be that there would be two backstories the player could choose from. One where the Mages won, and one where the Templars did. Plus adding the whole, loading a saved file from the DA:2, as they had in DA:2 from DA:O. I do hope to see a DA:3 though.

I doubt things could end up more of a cheesy cliche than if the Warden and Hawke showed up to work together in DA 3. Well...I guess they could high-five in the end, look at the camera with a wavering <insert regional flag> in the background, salute, tell kids to stay in schools, respect their parents and more importantly "don't do drugs!"

Hawke bores the heck out of me, I really hope that Bioware character isn't forced on DA 3 as the protagonist. I would rather the story starts fresh with a new main character rather than try to pick up the inconsistant mess of the Wardens at the end of DA:O and Awakenings.
