DA2 ends, hawk disappears aswell without a trace.. Something BIG will happen in DA3... flemeth was involved in the events of DAO and DA2, secretly pulling strings here and there. I dont think that their disappearences are just a coincedence... and that funny enough that at the same time the world of thedas breaks out into civil war again.. i dont think that the civil war between the mages and the templars are the main event of DA3, for a few reason.. 1. the chantry are actually allowing the events of DA2 to happen 2. they're desperately searching for hawke and the warden. 3. flemeth the almight witch of the wild who survived for centuries, just decides to help hawke because he has to go kirkwall so he can deliver an amulet there... nah its defently just a prologue of whats will come... to me its kinda genius if u allow a civil war to start and some guy to rise to the status of a hero like hawke did, because the chantry needs a "champion" for some strange reason... i bet that there's something bad happening that we don't knw about, why else would the chantry want to find the "hero of ferelden" and the "champion of kirkwall"?? pfff im telling u there's something big coming this way

I mean think about it: the camera swoops down from the clouds to show a lone figure walking across a desert. The camera moves in closer as the figure turns around to reveal the Warden. Then some traveller approaches to ask where the Warden is going, the dialogue choices come up, you click one of the choices, and you are taken aback by this once silent protagonist finally having a voice. Yay!
Or something to that effect, I think I’ll leave it up to bioware.
Bit tricky I say.
BUT I suppose this bridge will be crossed...should it appear one day.

Anyway, I just hope we don't get a pre-determined character like in DA2. Maybe it's just me, but I like to build my characters from scratch in a roleplaying game. I don't like if appearance, voice, gender/race/class (or any combination thereof), background, etc. is forced upon you. It just doesn't feel like I'm playing my character but someone else's.

DA:O was a game for roleplayers.
DA2 was a money making scheme.
DA3, well, its not like the market of roleplaying games is overflowing, so yeah if its any good I'll buy it. But if its another money making scheme I'm just not interested.
I *like* playing an elf, thank you very much.
I *like* giving my character an own name.
I *like* having a complex rulesystem ... DA:O was already not very big on that one, everyone but mages had only very few options.
I *like* having a large party ... again DA:O was very weak on that and SWTOR, albeit an MMO, will be very weak as well.

The only way to force characters from previous games into a sequel is to force players down the same path where their choices are irrelevant to the story. Depending on player choices in DA:O, DA:A and DA:2, some players and/or companions might be alive or dead, in love or bitter or entirely ignored.
The best we can expect with current RPG game tech is that importing previous saves will create a few "cool" moments with references to earlier play throughs.
It's important to remember that there is still no good way to completely sandbox a RPG yet. You take a role in a pre-defined story written by the developers with a few points of customization.
DA:O seems to have resonated with more players from a story perspective, the story was more cohesive, yet allowed more starting and ending choices while giving you the illusion of wider ranging travel whereas DA:2's story was spread over more time instead of geography.
It's not easy to find a good open ended story that provides the options they had in DA:O, and even harder to find one that would translate into sequels.

not enough sidepaths.... i want to feel free in a world, DAO gave me that feeling...
DA2 destroyes it completely...
I hope the champion will never return. He's just a strong peasant. I want wardens, frightning and victorius, it's where the game is based on (together with the Darkspawn ofc.).

Playing as the Warden's child would be awesome, but it'd require that you're male and went through that ritual with Morrigan. Besides, if you did that, your Warden would still be alive, so you might as well play as him.

Not true, if you are female (I tried it) then you must convince Allistar to have sex with morrigan, and she will also bare a child. but idd. it requires that you you or Allistar did had a good night with Morrigan.:innocent:
To bad not every one is as greedy as casual people... just to grab another chance to live<_<

For DA3, I would love to see the Warden and Hawke character combined into one character. Perhaps starting in the Fade...thought since both of them are missing, that is where they might be? Let me know what you think of the idea.

What makes me happy is to see the map of Thedas and think of all possibilities for histories and future games, DAO and only tok place in Ferelden and DA2 in one city onf the Free marches. Maybe they can make another game Griffon Age in Anderfells with the discovery that some griffon are alive and the wardens return with their glory

Hawke bores the heck out of me, I really hope that Bioware character isn't forced on DA 3 as the protagonist. I would rather the story starts fresh with a new main character rather than try to pick up the inconsistant mess of the Wardens at the end of DA:O and Awakenings.
