- if you played the DLC (WITCH HUNT) morrigan saids that her son is getting taking care of) . She leaves and never sees her son again. So i am thinking that you get to play as your son , which has all these special powers ( like the arch demon ). you meet all your old allys form dragon age origins like Alister, Wayane and much more and they try to help you find your ( your character and morrigan.

Not really BioWare's fault, I suppose, since they probably have EA breathing down their necks to turn Dragon Age into a yearly franchise.

I have already finished DA2 with all three possible classes and now I've rolled another mage whom I intend to play as bloodmage to see how it works out.
I loved the game, as much as I loved DAO. The battle is amazing, the story is really good and feels like a bildungsroman as it develops within a decade and you see the life of your char changing. I liked the fact that your relations with your companions are built through the quests and your behaviour and not upon silly gifts which in DA:O could get you to 100% friendship even though the companion might hate the guts of your char. I like the fact that rivalry or friendship, both give bonuses and you are not forced to play the diplomat so as to keep all companions available. I also loved the fact that you didn't even have to spend money to dress any other chars of your party apart from Hawke. Also, this thing they did with Hawke's personality, style stacking based on the answers you choose, is truly amazing, every time my char spoke it felt like the right tone to use.
Generally, I found DA2 really worth its money, as I had found DAO. I love how the devs manage to tie everything together and create a successful passage from the Origins story to the Kirkwall environment. I will definitely buy DA3 if there is a DA3 and I hope it takes place either in Orlais, which I find most probable, or in the Tevinter Empire in the middle of war with the Qunari. I am, however, willing to see whatever else as well, as I do trust the devs of this game. They haven't failed me yet, not one bit.
Could not have said it better myself.

Morrigan's kid is around 6-7 years old at the DA2 ending, because the difference between the origins ending and DA2 ending is 6 and a half year.Varric's tale plays about 1 year after that.
So the child is 7.The kid can't lift a sword, and can't be a mage, because didn't got enough mental and physical power.
Morrigan's and the Old God Baby's story ended when morrigan gone into the portal.
The Bioware said, the DA2's ending is a perfect setting to begin DA3.Both Hawke, and the Warden vanished. And 2 archdemon still sleeps. And the second Orlais vs. Ferelden war is about to begin.
All what we need to do is waiting for the Vigilance sword DLC(if comes) for DA2.That will correct the story. If hawke canonically gets the sword, then there is a chance to the Warden will appear in the DA3,wanting the two-handed sword back.(The vigilance is a two handed silverite in DA2,you can see in the wiki,so canonically the warden is a two handed warrior.)
I think the Warden will apper as a companion or quest giver, but Hawke can be the protagonist of DA3.
Cassandra maybe appears as an antagonist, but not main.
Sandal will make apperance also, but only as "enchanter" again.
This is my opinion.
Sorry for my bad english.

Awakening is not DAO2, DAO2 will not come out for a long time. Awakening is an ep.
That said. Awakening was disappointing to a lot of fans. But I love the Battle Mages, mix with Arcane Warriors and Spirits healers and you get a potent combination.
I would also like to see another expansion pack, longer, deeper than Awakening. There is no news on anything, but I think it would be foolish to expect anything before August. Even that might be too soon. Expect more DLC instead, that will happen sooner I think.
DA2 wasnt a full game either. Its a bit like Awakening. I would call DA2 "Dragon Age Kirkwall"
Im still waiting for DA2!

I just finished playing Dragon Age: Origins. I was blown away by the brilliance and care all-apparent in all aspects of the game.
Make more! I strongly believe the Qunari should be available as a playable race. Sten is a most fascinating character. If you can instill the aspect of the Qun in customizable racial features or something of the sort it would be very intriguing!

dude most people who love the game want the series to continue f you dont want that its not my problem biowares done great so far and im sure they will do a great 3rd dragon age game aswell
"Bioware has done great so far" still seems a point of discussion tbh.Part 2 seems a bit hack and slash/boring to me.Think you got 3 armor sets or maybe 4 now.cba to buy all the item downloads.Alot of gaps in the story where DAO was more fluent. first you get the ogre fight.then you skip to kirkwall where you do minor stuff and then at some point you start somewhere again.never really "bonded" with my char which i find quite an important aspect in a game.
DA with hardly any darkspawn to fight was soso.the Qunari make up a bit for it though.returning of Anders was fun though a bit of a shock that he was gay.I like his sarcasm though.the companions seem less chatty while traveling
For me personally it seems something is missing in DA2.aside from gray wardens and plenty of darkspawn that is...And still - i keep saying this- i really hope we get to play more darkspawn.the DLC Darkspawn Chronicles was soso for the few mins it lasted.Finding the Architect and all was interesting.Really curious about their side of the story and to play as one of those chaps. No femmies so i guess that is why Bio wont make a DA-Rise of the Darkspawn or something sadly.Too many games where you can only play as the "good" side.
Is nice though if you'd have a Human,Dwarf,Elven hero story.Or that you can pick a Darkspawn.one of the smarties ofcourse..not the brainless ones.Expand territory a bit or maybe even aid the heroes.Even a DS companion would be nice to have around.

1.Return the race selection.
2.Remove the dialogue wheel but keep the voice.
3.Old Combat was better the 2 game looks a little like a shooter or something work on that please.
4.The ability to dress you're companions how you want to dress them.
5.Less Mass Effect more DA:O, don't get me wrong Mass Effect rocks, but it just dosen't work for Dragon Age.

EDIT:From reading all these posts please dont include the Warden because I sacrificed my Hero and it would not make sense as well as Morrigan's *child* since once again some didn't choose this option.

A Dragon Age 3 story could include the First Blight and the creation of the Grey Wardens where gryphons existed and blood magic was legal to use as well as more of a story behind Dumat and the first darkspawn(possibly Corypheus?). This plot should include traveling across the land (or continent: Orlais, Antiva, Rivain?) as well as having to deal with the Tevinter Imperium and the commissioning of countries to create the Grey Wardens and recruit members(Andraste alive? First half of the game about the Blight then a century passes and you are a descendant of the original character and his/her romance dealing with Andraste and the soon to be Chantry? just a thought) . DA3 should include an origin whether it be a Tevinter origin, human, or possibly dwarves and elves(return of the eluvian?) and preferably a fully voiced main character. This main character could possibly be one of the Anderfel knights who felt a duty to defeat this new blight. DA2 had an excellent combat system I thought it made it more fast paced, but should include more animation than the simple 1,2,3 repeat staff hits and as well as different sound for different types of weapons (nature, fire, etc.). The tactics system is phenomenal and the graphical changes to the Qunari and Darkspawn were welcomed and I like the more distinct looks rather than just looking like LotR or other fantasy series (although Qunari and Ogres might not be expected in the early years). The gearing was fun I like only having to spend my hard earned coin on myself and only having to worry about minimally priced upgrades and maybe some expensive accessories. Possibly more exciting runes as well as ability enhancing or changing affects. Finally the game series is amazing and one of my favorites whatever you put out will be incredible I'm sure.

That was awesome idea and thought:O! But what about DA 3 ending when seekers of truth comes and asking about warden and hero of kirkwall? What about them...

Well I figured there would have been more DLC explaining what might happen with Cassandra and after the Templar-Mage war in Kirkwall like what BioWare did in Origins with Return to Ostagar and Witch Hunt. I have also heard that Cassandra will possibly be a major role in Dragon Age 3 in which case DLC wont answer much about what happened afterwards.

1. Orlais is a popular place in the story but we have never been aloud to travel there, so it would be a perfect place to focus the third installment.
2. Alistair mentioned that things were not going well with them diplomatically when you speak with him in DA2.
3. The Grey Wardens in DA2 have to leave in the middle of the quinari attack because they have 'Important buisiness' elsware and the head warden speaks like an orlesien.
just my thoughts, dont know if anyone said anything simular...too many posts

they could always write it off as her finding another way to have the child and everyone would probably accept it. also there is a way to kill shepard in ME2 and it count as being storyline (you really have to skrew up for it to happen though) and yet who is the main character of ME3? im thinking DA3 will be from hawk's perspective anyway with the Hero as a cameo apperience, just my opinion. i do like your idea of it taking place during the first blight but with they way DA2 ended i would have to say it would make me a little aggitated that we still wouldn't know what happened to the Hero and Champion. plus one of the great things about dragon age and mass effect is that we come in an a specific part in the history of those worlds, it gives the game a feeling of vastness.g****asdf wrote...
