Get rid of the craptastic combat system of DA2
Make the storyline actually mesh with DAO instead of trashing it like DA2. Come on I waxed flemeth and she shows up in the first 5 min of DA2 even after i downloaded my profile (wich did nothing btw so whats the point?)
Get ride of Hawke he is forgetable at best
Get rid of all the characters from DA2 they all sucked even Anders went from tollerable DA:A to a complete whiny looser.
I read an article that sombody from bioware said they were going to stick with the stagnant err... i mean static outfits for characters. This is a huge huge mistake, one of the worst part of DA2

If we have to create and play a whole new main character, at least bring back the Warden and Hawke as companions. :( also, keeps their romance status.

There is nothing wrong on having a new character. I think it is a way of building history in the world of dragon age and having grand stories of heroes. But I don't think they should finish the story of the warden and if they do they should do it properly. Like have the warden die protecting the new hero like how Duncan died when he was angry about the death of his king. And then have a another moment where you play as the warden when they go to the other side. Like alitser died to save me and slay the arch demon and I would love if he was there to guide me to the side of the maker and for him to say "the world is closer to a better end" have you go and rest in piece. Have the warden have a proper end.

If I wanted my warden's story to end I would have killed him/her of in the first game.

I didn't relly know where to post this but… this is a thing that doesnt make sense:
Bethany and Carver are supposed to be twins, yet one is male an the other is female(ok i agree it can happen, i totally support this part) but… Bethany is mage an Carver isn't!!!
From my undrestanding its the blood that makes the difference between mage and non-mage, yet twins are supposed to have almost identical blood type(even if they are separate twins)

Well it is not really blood it is genetics, and non-identical twins i think only share as much as normal brother sister, plus, it wouldnt make sense unless there a lot more apostates then thought, since mages in the towers are discouraged from acts that result in conception and it was my belief that most, if not all mages were born outside of the mages circles.

I'm just gonna put my thoughts out here, and I hope that the game developers read these blogs to get an idea what the players really want, because that what matters.
I believe that DA3 should be a prequel to DAO. I think that a good idea for a plot would have a new character, not Hawke or the Warden, to try to save the golden city from the mages. As it is visibly clear in the fade, former golden city is now the black city, and the mages were the first darkspawn. I believe that much can be done with this plot.
However, as compared to most video game plots, in the end, you must fail at saving the world. Not only would this go against the fold and get highly criticized, but be highly playable, it would also go along with the plot lines of the other two.
Next, I would like to see voice commands ACROSS ALL PLATFORMS. Mass Effect 3 has kinect capability with voice command, and I imagine there will be a mod for PC, but that leaves poor PS3 all alone. I myself am a PC gamer, and of course I would love to have an ultra graphics setting that looks absolutely incredible, but I would also like to see a setting where very low-end computers are capable of playing the game. This would be good for marketing, and it will also increase sales. To be honest, I play BioWare games because the plots are generally amazing (generally is only there because of DA2, there was a lot left to be desired).
My final thoughts on this areabout character creator. I would like to see a more DAOesque character creator where you have the option to be an elf, dwarf, or a human. But, I would like to also recommend adding another race (cough cough qunari)
If you read all of this, I appreciate your patience for reading my thoughts, and I would like to hear your thoughts back as well.
PS. Static armor and weapons was one of the worst ideas I have ever seen. It basically killed any chance to be somewhat creative with a character other than your own.

I'll be back in here with my opinion of what should be included and what not in DA3 after I've played them both again. Please guys if you're reading these posts, don't ruin the ending ;)

The idea of restoring the Golden City isn't bad, but there's no reason to play a Fail. Why not an epic battle for after DA1 and 2 (haven't played 2 yet) which actually does restore the Golden City for real, finally reversing the Tevinter taint? That said, all we get is lore about there having ever been a Golden City in the first place. No reason to believe the Chantry's lines about it after all... And to truly un-taint the Golden City there would have to be no more hunger, desire, and rage in the subconscious... which isn't likely to happen.

I have alot of Potential ideas for this game but I will not list them at this time. While this might seem a trivial thing for some,I strongly hope that Dragon age 3 will bring back Dual wielding warriors.I don't like how they took that feature away in dragon age 2.I Played both Dragon age origins, and Dragon age 2,I enjoyed the graphics style and the beautifully crafted story. In Dragon age 2 I was very disapointed when I could not play as a dual wielding warrior. The closest option I had to that was a rouge, which is a playstyle I am not fond of,I love being in the center of combat, but as a rouge I was limited in the gameplay that i desired. While rouges could dual wield,it is only with daggers. Now being the flexible gamer that I am I still played throughout the game and enjoyed it, except for a few things.I understand that Bioware was most likely rushed into creating this game which is a horrible thing that a company can be forced into. The game was not as well polished as dragon age 2 in graphics. You may look at both games and belive the artstyle is similar, but there are differences.Just like Mass effect 3 compared to Mass Effect 2.Most people I talked to did not notice the difference but I did.I belive I understand why the game was not as well polished.Bioware belived that they could draw in more people to play their game if they added a twist. Now Bioware please,I belive that you are pure geniuses and I love your games, that being said I cannot stress enough the problem that may gaming companies give to themselves. They develop a single player game series, then somewhere down the line they add a multiplayer to this franchise. This creates problems,Im sure other gamers would agree that you just don't add multiplayer to a single player game.Dont get me wrong,I love multiplayer games, the problem is that they then spend a good portion of time adding multiplayer to the game And do not focus on the main game elements that they should. The gamers will still play it but it just simply will never be as good as it could have been.So i beg of you Bioware Focus on your strengths and do not waste your time making a multiplayer and dulling your gamers experience. Now I am not as concerned with graphics as I am with gameplay,And dragon age 2s strong suit was its combat.I enjoyed it fully.I do not understand these people that want to take away gaming features from the consols and revert us back to the auto attack system.Dragon age 2 had a radial menu and had plenty of tactics.I simply recomend that those of you who want to take away this new combat system and replace it with an auto attack system, then why not simply play the game on a computer? My personal opinion is that you should not go back to auto attacks and continue the combat style of Dragon age 2.Add that with the well crafted story of the first game and I belive that Bioware will have created a true masterpiece.

so i am a huge dragon age fan, huge bioware fan, i know they know what they are doing, but when i heard they were introducing a new main charecter, i was a little heartbroken. dragon age remains to this day one of my favorite games kuz of mr relationship with my party members, especially morrigan. she is one of the greatest video game charecters and i was dissapointed that the which hunt dlc leaft me with more questions than answers. so please bioware, continue the story of morrigan and the warden, do they get married, what happens to their child, do they ever return from beyond the iluvian? dont let these great charecters go to waste, make us play as the warden and continue the story of morrigan Image IPB

Since I've played all DA games at least 3 times, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the upcoming DA3. First of all I have to say that for me DAO was the most perfect and addictive RPGs ever! After completing it I had to get though a major withrawal... and then I played DA2... The first time I played the game I felt like I wanted to press an imaginary FF button in order to see what was up next. I felt so bored and annoyed by all these minor quests (go there, kill bandits, get back), while I expected that something bigger would finally pop. But it didn't... So this was for me the biggest let down. The 2nd time I played DA2, I knew not to expect anything more, so I honestly enjoyed the game better. But enough with the endless jabber! Here are my thoughts on what DA3 should borrow from the previous installments:
1. Epic story: I want to help save the world, not some swampy sorry town.
2. Hero: Although I ache leaving my Warden and Hawke behind, I am eager to play a fresh hero, as long as he/she is actually important for the course of history. The Warden was the one that ended the Blight. We all saw what happens if he/she hadn't existed: everybody dies - Archdemon wins. On the other hand Hawke felt more opportunistic to me. He/she wasn't even important in the very end, cause the real protagonist of the game - IMO - is Anders. That's why I like Legacy - Corypheus was the kind of enemy I want to fight, and Legacy was for me the proper ending to DA2.
3. Epic nemesis: in order for my hero to matter, there needs to be a worthy nemesis. I need an immortal one, a powerful one, an enemy hard to kill. Urthemiel was such an enemy (even though she was rediculously easy). In DA2 I was expecting the same, but instead I had to fight a mortal Qunari and a possessed ****. Hurray...
4. Party members/relationships. This is the part that discerns DA games and Bioware from all the other RPGs in the market. You guys (especially Mr Gaider) are masters in creating intriguing, beautiful, loveable characters that I want to get to know and "fall in love". In DAO, almost all NPCs are unique and feel real. In DA2 I felt like they were mostly one-sided, their emotions exaggerated, more like caricatures of people, than real-life people. I want more depth in the party characters. I also want variety. What I also missed in DA2 was the party camp, the chance to address your companions whenever and wherever you want, and even kiss or sleep with them... Hey, do not judge me! I want rememberable NPCs with divine voices, like Alistair, Morrigan, Zevran, Anders, Fenris, Varric etc. and not irrelevant ones like Sebastian (honestly what were you thinking?)
3. Bring back the elves' humanish appearance. Ok you liked Avatar, we got that part. But there's no need to spoil such fine and noble creatures like the elves and make them look like they had plastic surgery. I felt for your desire to make the races differ, but you could be more moderate next time.
4. Keep the DA2 talent tree, but bring back combos.
5.The pace of the fighting should be slower, so that it feels real. Also, the swords should be a bit smaller. I cant imagine how Fenris could jump and strike with his massive sword. It felt cartoonish. What I loved was the new ability of mages to fight energetically with their staff, but I missed their ability to wield a sword. And here comes the next thing
6. Customisation!!! Bring it back!
7. In terms of story, I would like to learn more about Flemeth, Morrigan's OGB, the first Darkspawn, the Architect, Corypheus etc., the Golden City and the rise of the Archdemons.
8. Now, I've heard that you are working on borrowing stuff from other RPGs produced by other companies. I've played the game implied (not writing the name because I dont know if it is allowed in this forum) and although I found it beautiful, I also found it extremely boring and empty. Please do not go there! What you should keep in mind is to be consistent. You have created the most beautiful games ever and you have gained a lot of raving fans. Please do not let them down (again). Be consistent with your original product and don't try to change a succesfull recipe so that you can sell more. You will always sell more, as long as you offer your clients stability, loyalty, but also progress and intrigue!
Thank you for your time and patience! I realy wish you the best of luck and look forward to the next game!

The engine all-together was a little smoother in DA2 but I found the DAO 'open' style better. I prefer to create my own character to to be able to travel all over, taking on side quests here and there.

Thedas is such a rich world, its dissapointing that we can't experience it all (or at least more of it)

The darkspawn matter is overdone by now, I think the game can probably focus on National Politics between Kingdoms and Empires, with the blight as a background thing.

I would also like the class/skill/talent system to be a little more flexible for players who like versatility.

It would also be nice to be able to experience the game solo. Having a party should be an option, not a necessity.

Completely agree.
But did anyone ACTUALLY hear anything about the next DA being made?
Speculating is great, but i think it'll be very-very-very dissapointing, getting my hopes up, and then realising it was all just roumours.

I want choice who i be play i want warden because my warden is best mage ever ,it over 30!!! even
Hawk history can be continued in bigg DLC.If you Warden Die you no have Luck when Shepard die you cannot import save and what?I don't like when i hard work to make my character really badass then they say sorry man but no to much work add to much expensive you must play new weak ****.Even not end romance if you want end warden story then they should make in peace and not mentioned she/he in ending da 2.And really make good choice's consequence because when i import to Da 2 save from DAO (romance leliana) in lexicon is write "warden married with alistar" yeah my warden is a men! ,but leliana mentioned romance (yeah 5 words good job...).

Things I dont like i DA2-1.concept art-for instance-I liked elves in DA:O more then in DA2-In DA2 they more look like goblins-I cant imagine how could my dalish look in DA2.And the appearance of weapons sucks,as well of the armor, and mages!!!!Oh they look like maharajas priests.
2.Graphics-In DA:O was more realistic but in DA2 was like some stupid cartoon movie.
3.Character creation-It is realy lame-Biowere should put more hair styles,tatoos-give players more freedom to create unque character ...o and bioware try not to make every NPC look same as other.
4.Story-Story itself is OK(only in the Act 2)but I understand that you didnt have much time to divise it.But the narative story???Really. That is most stupidest idea that anybody could put in...if you know what do I mean.
5.Every single house,cave,basement...looks same.In the Makers name WHY???!!!
6.No legenday weapons,armors and jewelry.
7.Sex.Come on,who wants to have a sex in clothes.
8.Characters arent interesting,they arent funny,no nothing.
9.I dont like the look of invertory and the skill system.Ps.Where have talents disappeared(persuasion, poison makeing...)???
By meaning I dont like inventory i meand i liked the inventory from DAO more because it was more revised.
I will continue this!
For now live your comments

i've heard alot of comments and ideas from people about what they think should happen and such in the upcoming DA:3 so going on the chance that these forums might be read by bioware i'm simple going to put out a few points
1.DA:O battle system>DA:2 battle system
2.Make it so that world dialogue choices actually change something like in DA:O i could choose multiple different outcomes of every event from epilogue changing to killing off jowan whereas in DA:2 i could say a bunch of different things and SOMETIMES have 2 possible outcomes (a rarity)
3.Character interaction with companions from DA:O was very in-depth and enjoyable DA:2 not so much
4.I DO NOT think the character should be a pre-made character as hawk was, the idea of choosing your race and origin and having it effect the entire game hence was awesome and it's always nice to be able to customize your character
5.I DOT NOT think that the warden and hawk should be brought into the game as companions (shocker to many it seems) i would rather the be left and out to concentrate on the current game and maybe later on have them actually brought back into focus (really only the warden, hawk was lame) in a later game or installment.
6.For the love of god do NOT make this game into an MMO it's a GREAT single player RPG

My two cents:
1) DA2 combat system > DA:O combat system. Keep it.
2) Make character interactions more in line with DA2 than DA:O in that you are presented with much more dynamic dialogue scenes that flesh out the characters instead of static dialogue scenes back at camp like in DA:O
3) Keep the in squad banter.
4) Hell, have Hawke return as the main character of DA3, or at least play a major role. He/she is hinted at being important by Cassandra at the end of DA2, show us why.
5) Have the Darkspawn return but not be the main focus of the game like they were in DA:O, I think the "Mages vs Chantry" plotline will provide the meat of the enemies in the game, no need to be cluttered by darkspawn (unless a new blight rallies the two factions together).
6) If Bioware wishes to keep city hubs like Kirkwall, make them centered in Tevinter and Orlais so we the players can visit the main hubs of both the chantry and the mages in DA3.
7) Bring back Varric, or any other character that cannot die and thus are alive in everyone's files (Morrigan also jumps to mind).

Please, for the love of Andraste, allow us to continue our DA:O Warden stories in DA3.

I am on my knees and begging to you, Andraste, as well as to the Maker, Himself!

I want better romance options, and scenes, it maybe crude but if your gunna rate this 18, then it needs to be more adult, more swearing, more blood shed and tears etc, and for the romance scenes i dont want like a hyped up porno, more of a classy intimate scene, not just oh im ontop of u kissing, ends to black screen + would be awesome if you could play as Morrigans child
