With that ending they HAVE to do DA3 ! It was so abrupt and so open, I enjoyed the game (every 40 hours) and im sitting here since 5 hours waiting to begin a new adventure.

i also agree to this... they have to make another one.. ... i loved the game.. they may just make a hell alot of DLC like they did with origins....
noticed you mae the post an hour ago haha... i literally just completed it..but yeah they have left it on a good cliff hanger.... and with who you see at the end is a shocker

I finished Dragon Age 2 the day after release - I now have a finished playthrough with all 3 classes - doing all side quests. That is why I didn't reply immediately after finishing for a bout of boasting.

I know this seems a mirror of all the previous remarks above but I too agree that they should... no, MUST! Make another one. After the lines in the end

I want to know what's happening to all my heroes. They can't just have vanished off the face of Thedas can they? They also can't have died - the slightest hint towards it is just insulting.

The only thing they had in common was that they were both great heroes (The term "Hero" is subjective here) and they had both met Flemeth. Quite a mystery that I must have an answer for.

Took me a whole 25 hours to beat it the first time, 20 the second and I did a ton of things different, it seems almost all the endings are exactly the same *Spoiler* I helped Anders blow up the chantry the first time, I didn't the second time and the little **** still blows it up. *End Spoilers* I'm guessing a ton of overpriced dlc will come out for each companion then hopefully an expansion like they did with dragon age origins. I want to know what happens next so badly now. >_<

Finished it yesterday and i must say....Damn! What a game! I really liked it every bit of it.
Sure it has it's flaws but what game hasn't.

I really can't wait for Dragon age 3 though i hope Hawke will be the main char, i don't care about Da1's char anymore:P hopefully they will include all old characters from both part 1 and 2!

call me a nerd, but i love my character.. i made the mistake playing a male char in dao and i will never make that one again.. i want my hawke in da3

Well it would be awesoem if somehow there would be a DA3 and hawke and the warden somehow meet and you can chooce and play with either one )
The game was decent i liked playin it and I'll play it again, but I think i'Ve to play DA:O + Awakening first and after that I've to play DA2 again

Finished DA2 at about 44h (savegametime) and have to say i love this game. Only things i don't like is there not being a free camera option during AE-skill aiming and the in fight respawning of enemys.
For DA3 i would really like to import the Warden and Hawk, play with both simultaneous and to have the option to decide during dialogs which one of them answers. They both must work together with one of them being dominant (players choice) but can be of differing opinions, may even hate each others guts which may result in both taking different sides in the end and you have to decide which one you want to play on with. Also having dialogs between both characters with the possibility to convince one of the opinions of the other would be nice but hard to implement in a way which seems believable.
Another posibility would be for the warden to become mute in a strange way of bioware humor for him not having a voiceover in origins.

In this case you would create the Orlesian Warden and chose an Awakening background after importing your savegame from Origins.

Just finished my first playthrough . I did my best to do all quests and get all the equipment. I just love this game. Both DA:O and DA 2 were amazing and i simply must have more .
Now i presume Bioware is going to tease us with one 30 long minute long DLC per month. Hopefuly they will make an expansion .

Yeah I did a male DAO and female DA2, hook up for DA3??? lol

Hope DLC lets you play after completing the game though, not a fan of having to reply again every time DLC comes out...

Also I kept thinking my DAO character would turn up, especially after Alistar, Zeveran and Lilliana did... DLC about why they go off together maybe.

Just finished the game myself, and the ending did leave quite a bit of room for more installments. I can't wait. They have to continue this; there's no way they can't. They'd have riots at their HQ, no doubt. I'm looking forward to playing through the game as a mage and warrior as well (first playthrough was rogue), and I will most certainly be purchasing any and all DLC/expansions that come out!

Some spoilers here so don't read if you haven't finished the game yet!

Played the game from front to back! The combat is exceptional! I can't flaw the gameplay of the mage, rogue or warrior! Although I have to agree the dialogue is somewhat missing the charm of the first game. Also, if I could throttle Anders and throw him off a cliff? I would! Damnit, he's running a clinic..then he decides he should blow up the chantry?! Seems the work of a fanatic which surprised me greatly...almost unrealistic but maybe he was more crazy than I thought. I love Fenris as a character (extremely wrist slash slash type but...he's so angry its great! he has a spectacular storyline). Oh and Merrill is adorable but I wish she didn't end up hating the main character if you said ''no I'm not going to restore a mirror as a gateway into hell you crazy person''. The rivalry-friendship thing is a nice idea but it's far too easy to be hated for some decisions which the character ingame should see why you made that choice. If this was more realistic, that'd be good. Definitely more character development and deeper relationships with the champion required. Probably requires a lot more talking, a lot more!

Oh and needs to be a lot longer. It just felt like act one! I expected it to be at least 2/3rds longer. Hopefully da3 will be set in Orlais and the main character will really be at the bottom of things. It felt like everything fell into the lap of the main character here. Didnt feel like she/he was suffering as a refugee. The only part where I felt a hint of emotion was the mother part, that was good. Maybe this time the main character will have a similar storyline to Fenris and be extremely passionate in achieving a goal. Really starting low on the hierachy, maybe a slave or in prison or on the run or something. Choosing your own race/height/better face customisation might also be very good too.

So enough of my ramblings. Excellent on the gameplay front, lacking in the rpg front!

i hated the ending (i mean i loved the game but not ending), the ending left me with such a cliffhanger that i (no lie) dreamed of how i would continue the game and or make a little cut scene after the credits, im rly hoping they make a third with hawke, they HAVE TO! unless they want a horde of very angry fans outside bioware;s main headquarters (hint- make another dragon age with hawke bioware, and we might just not kill you........)

Dragon Age 2 you mean?
There are two Terminator movies,three Star Wars movies and so far only one Dragon Age game.

I'd like to think they are currently fighting each other in a duel of pure bad assery for the rest of existence that will determine the fate of reality itself and that mere mortals aren't supposed to see or comprehend.

I love to imagine them battling epically in a barren wasteland with blood raining from the sky and "Immediate Music" playing in the background, while they enn up in a stalemate just when the DA3 protagonist appeear and then the Warden and Hawke have to join forces to keep the fighting and not be obliterated.

It's kinda how I imagine my heroes after sagas anyway...fightinng in an eternal PvP

and leilana appears out of nowere in the ending of da2 to give us a mind**** , that not being the only reason why the ending and story sucks like hell. Should we expect a da3 fail ?id like bioware to prove me wrong
