A big deal has been made of how npcs call Hawke by his name in DA2, his last name. I understand that calling the Warden just by the name Warden is a sign of respect, but certainly the companions could have use her/his last name at camp or any of the spontaneous conversations. If Madden football can interject a name out of a choice of hundreds in their game, why couldn't Bioware set up to interject a name out of a choice of seven. Cousland, Tabris, Mahareil, Surana, Amell, Brosca, Aeducan. Granted it's not their first name like Alistair, Leilana, etc...but if Hawke is always just Hawke than why couldn't the Warden's title and surname be used interchangeably throughout the game?

I'm bringing that up because of all of the specualtion/wishful thinking that the Warden will return.

my idea for dragon age 3 would be where the heroes of dragon age:origins and dragon age 2 come together for whatever reason (maybe its about time the maker brought his wrath) with the addition of a 3rd hero

during the character creation i think it would be a good idea (if you didnt have saves from dragon age: origins and dragon age2) to remake the warden and hawke then get given a choice system similar to that of mass effect 2 where you pick their background such as what did the warden choose to do with morrigan and who did hawke side with etc.

then with the addition of the 3rd hero have them all meet for an important reason bringing an end to this epic series.

on a different note maybe theres a reason in the trailers they portray the warden as a warrior and hawke as a mage
waiting on a rogue perhaps????

I highly doubt we will see our wardens return. DA3 will be made with a different character creation system and will have different graphics. If we import our Wardens savefiles he wont be able to appear since he was created with a older engine. If he did appear he would have to be wearing a full face helmet so we cant see his face. Otherwise if he appears he would look exactly the same as he did in Origins which would look silly because he would stand out since everything around him will have been made with updated graphics while he has dated graphics. Lets face it, we are most likely never going to see him again.

I for one wouldn't mind changing my Warden's appearance. He looked a bit weird.

Here's a thought; in DA2, when Varric begins the champion's story, the character creation screen opens when its implied he "describes" their appearance. Maybe this mechanic can be reused in DA 3, with some slight modifications (IE whomever narrates the overarching plot cutscenes "describes" the warden in a similar way).

Also, it will be interesting to see who narrates DA 3; Flemeth narrated DA:O, and Varric DA2, so maybe Lelianna?

It will also be interesting to see who makes return appearances, given how many 2 had. Hopefully Sten?

If Morrigan does the opening narration for DA3, I'll get goose bumps. I recommend Bioware keeps a tighter lid on the next game compared to this last one. Way too many spoilers befor the game even came out. I mean, come on, you know all of your companions and basically how and why they will join your group before the game even comes out?

I know its hard but don't read that much about a game. The only thing I looked up up DA2 is the Characters. I found out a one person was coming back because of Ign. But as the game got closer I stopped read anything to do with DA2. Just a thought for the next time. Just because its out there doesn't mean you have to read it.

Very, very hard. However, I didn't find out about the companions until February when I started thinking, "Isn't dragon age 2 suppose to be coming out?" Imagine how ticked off I was when I found out I missed a deadline for pre-ordering a special edition. The cut off was somewhere in January.

i hope in da3 the make a beginning like dao where you chose one of your heros (hero of Fereldon, Warden Commander-if hero of Ferelden died, champion) and depending on the choices you made have different beginnings.
I WANT DA3 TO BE SET IN NEVARRA-the logic behind this is small but acceptable-it is surrounded by Free Marches(starkhaven's army and Mage rebellion), Orlais(army to invade Ferelden), Tevinter Imperium(the obvious ) and Ferelden(King Allister)

basically a recipe for disaster!!

prehaps a way for the first name to be spoken, simular to computer speech like microsoft sam but with characters voice. their could be a list of speech options for how the name is spoken. difficult but it can be done.

i notice ppl saying they dont even care about there DA1 char anymore which is sorta sad seeing as how wothout DA1 there wouldnt even be a DA2........ anyhows, as for leliana appearing out of nowhere you are wrong she appears as sister nightingale in the vicroys throneroom prior to the end revealing that she is now working for the devine. there is also a possible connection between the main chars of DA1 and DA2 main char if you played a human mage there name was Amell in DA2 your main chars proper surname is also Amell and that they are related i personally would like to see in DA3 where you can play as either or both or have them meet ...... would also like to see morrigan return

I still care about my Da1 Char. But i really want the Morrigan story to finish with Da3. Which I think would have to have the warden in it possibly as a playable char.

When I played da2 it felt empty with no Oghren it's not dragon age without him, with such memorable quotes such as asschabs and the sexual innuendo. Little pike twirler classic. But seriously the lack of humour was such a buzz kill, but they did make the characters more complex at least. Also they need to rethink the combat system it's on the right path but so much could be done with it.
If Bioware is going to make an expansion for da2 (hopefully they will) they should have the warden as the playable character and it should be about the warden's return from wherever he/she disappeared to find out what's happening and hunts Hawke down to kill him/her.
But for da3 I would accept a new character if you could have the warden and Hawke as companions also as I stressed before bring Oghren back into da3 if he didn't die in origins and if they do bring back the warden you should be able to change his/her appearance seriously if they don't let you change his/her appearance it'll be pretty stupid come on. No-one can have the same hair-do for +10yrs. Also fix up Alistair and Zev a bit the only reason I recognised Alistair was because of the hair and Zevran because of his tattoo on his face. But at least Leliana looks exactly the same so a congratulations is in order for that at least.

I guess they might make another storyline not based on the based on the previous title, although there will be references as well. SInce DA2 is in another "country" in Thedas, how about one in Tenvinter or Arlathan.

I would love to see how powerful the elves were back then and what exactly happen for their misfortune in their current time. Or help fight with Andraste to overthrow the Tevinter Imperium.

These are major story impacts thourgout the Dragon Age franchise, so why not let us experience what/ how it really happened.

also im pretty sure i executed every one of my companions in DA origins and awakening -..-
DA 2 thinks otherwise, hope they improve that in DA: 3
