As sad as it makes me I can't see that the Warden as a playable character again. Hawke (who has already a voice actor/actress) may become a companion because players already have an idea how he/she sounds.

Depending on whether DA2 makes enough profit to continue the line is yet to be seen. But if it does I think the main "hero" will be the child.

They did have basic general voices for the Wardens though if they expanded on that they could easily include the Warden in further adventures fully voiced. But the difficulty would be converting the Warden from DA:O to DAIII especially if they are going to use a new graphics engine for it, if they are going to include the Warden in physical form they are going to have to put the Warden in a DLC and/or expansion. But that's just me being uncharacteristically optimistic ... something is wrong ... I'm optimistic ... I'm scared, I've got asschabs

Not only has bio-ware payed a great homage to baldur's gate, but if the third game delivers; it will be safe to say It will eclipse BG in terms of epic and emotionally engaging narrative. its no small feat, but bioware. I believe in you.

or have a dlc like awakening that follows hawke after krikwall on his journey to do whatever he left to do and he meets the warden from origins to set up DAIII.
its obvious with the ending of DA2 that the warden and hawke disappeared for same reasons as leliana says it is not coincidence that they both disappeared.

theres an objective (defeat the reapers) but in each game feels 'complete' where as the DA2 story felt cut off and to be forced to wait 1-3yrs for DA3 is just juvanile.
but im looking forward to a great da 3 no-matter how long it takes...but i wish they implemented that from mass effect.

In doing so she has to recruit you (choose your own character or have your returning warden), and some new characters, and some returning characters. It will end in a big EPIC showdown where the god-child has to make a decision (your decision)....que DAIV...God-Child The Destroyer/Savior

The warden can just be remade and similar facial parts can be added in from DAO thats has enhanced graphics incase you wanna remake the same warden. To make it easy for bioware. Just let us pick a save file for the story on DAO then let us remake the warden.
We are all hoping for the last Hero, which is probably a rouge.
But now people are starting to forget flemith. Im think maybe she is the one who helps the heros disapear, the meet up with the last hero because she sensed the "godly babies" is tainted once more, then add Morrigan in the mix as part of a plot to make one last final blight with the remaining arch demons (if there is any remaining).
Thats where the final epic battle can happen that we all want to see, we could also make Morrigan have a change of heart near the end and you see all the heros, past companions and new companions in there.
I know, I know, that was alot of reading sorry hehe. But the story could go something like that.
P.S any voice for the warden will do just fine.

This is really really optimistic and I'm crossing my fingers that it will turn out to be some truth in itphaedruslives wrote...
I think we're all going to be blown away by DA3. It's safe to say it will have a much longer production cycle and will likely resemble DA:O in terms of scale. My personal hope is that the loose-ends in the first two games are resolved side by side in a way only previously possible by master-crafted fantasy novels. Even if it doesn't give me the things I want, I'll bet it will give me a bunch of gifts that I never realized I wanted out of my game. Its the classic RPG hammer-mark of good design.

Chances are really small though since EaoWare got its fingers in it.
Mass Effect 3 may end up being the last BioWare game I will end up buying.

If this is speculation about DA3, then I'm sorry but this has to be said: Orlais.
Chantry in shambles, and Val Royeaux is the center of the chantry. Bodahn and Sandal said they were going to Orlais. They end the game with an Orlesian bard cameo. The mage/templar thing is basically changing the entire ****ing world, and the Chantry is at the root of the problem.
To me, the only other setting possible is Tevinter, and, well, nobody likes you, Tevinter Imperium.
I am curious, however, about the divide between the Black and White Chantries. An Exalted March on Tevinter to bring down the magi there could be seriously awesome.
As for player character, not so straightforward for me. It could be the Warden, Hawke, Morrigan's kid, or somebody completely new. Morrigan's child would be cool because of the dark past, the Warden's genes as a physical wild card, and the connection to Flemeth (whom I feel will have a strong role in the plot yet again). It really could be anyone, imho.
Only other prediction from this humble nerd is Sandal's involvement. He'll probably be more noteworthy for his strange abilities with enchantment. It would be awesome if they incorporated him as a party member. Bizzare and probably impossible, but awesome. "SANDAL GET THAT OGRE!" *silence* "Notboom!" *ogre explodes*

the new hero finnaly figures out the truth of how darkspawn came to be. as he/she makes there way into the fade they head for th black city where the seat of the maker used to be. but they do not find what they were expecting. Flemeth was sitting on the throne. as u go into the herioc fight against the witch of the wilds in dragon form all of the hero's companions die. And as Flemeth was about take her final blow she feels a sword cut through her stomach. She looks down and she see's the hero of ferelden then her head is engulfed in flames and then she looks the other way to see Hawke and as they join you in the final fight to end the darkspawn once and for all Thedas will know that the hero of ferelden. the champion of kirkwall and the new hero saved the world
this wud also be good cuz it wud explain y the hero of ferelden and hawke disapeared at the end of the games.
and the chantry is the only resistence becuz of wat happens at end of da2

The warden and hawke MUST be in da3, its not a coincidence the hawke and the warden go missing at the end of the games.
Plus sandals going to be in it.
This is my theory of sandal
Sandal is 1 of the old dwarfs, remember in the deep roads in da2 batrand says the abandoned thaig belong to some old dwarfs, i think sandal is 1 of them, i think wen 1 of the blights happened they were attacked and sandal fled, some time after flemeth found him and made him immortal like herself. She also told him a prophecy of how magic will rise again and then she left him, after spending so long in the deeps roads he was corrupted by lyrium. Which is why he is very simple, but he still remembers flemeth and her prophecy. Flemeth sometimes visits him in his sleep to make sure he is still alive.
