I romance her every time on my female and male MC's. The difference is where I plan to go at the end and whether or not I dump her afterwards or harden her and keep her for the vicious rogue **** she really is.  Morrigan may be power hungry and out for herself but she's a survivalist.  Leiliana is a murderous coniving manipulating ****.  I love her.

Amazingly I haven't done a girl/girl romance with Leli yet, amazingly. I allllllmost did on my first playthrough with my female mage but Alistair won out. My second playthrough was an male elf mage and he started an affair with Morrigan before moving over to Leli. He also slept with the Dalish elf girl and with the pirate queen in Denerim. He was a cad.

I'm doing a third playthrough now with a female City Elf rogue who hates humans and will only go for Zevran.  But I think that from now on any and all romances are going to be Leliana, male or female.  She's just too good of a character and I find her utterly endearing.  "You're so big and stow-ic, who'd have guessed you were a big sof-tee?"

I have figured out why none of my characters can stand to romance her: my HN wanted to be Queen and all the rest of them aren't human and can't be with someone as casually and obliviously racist againt the elves/dwarves as her.

She's Orlesian and is merely thinking like one.  You can easily get her to re-evaluate her perspective on the place of non-humans in society.  Casual, yes, but not malicious, and she changes once you bring her attention to it.

If you're an elf, you can. If you're a dwarf you can never even confront her about it. And I know it's perfectly understandable but that doesn't mean that someone she unknowingly holds a life-long prejudice against will be jumping at the chance to be inolved with her.

They might not begrudge her for it, either - especially since she realizes she was in the wrong the minute it's brought to her attention. I imagine it would depend on the elf. Some would drop her then, others might appreciate her willingness to overturn an unconscious mentality.

So far all my females wind up with Leliana (except for one Noble Female Human she married Alistar but even she romanced Leliana before she had to choose between them). All my female Noble humans, city elves, Dalish elves, and mages have wound up in Leliana's bed. I haven't played the game outside of the origin stories with a female dwarf to get there.

As I recall, the Dalish version is a lot more tense than the City Elf/Magi Elf conversation.

I reckon they both have their own tensions between them, how it's understood it entirely up to the PC (that's one reason I hate those convos, almost all of the answers seem to stem from the same response)

Something that has never made sense to me is why the Elf Mage gets the Alienage chat. Wouldn't it have made more sense if she started asking about what the Circle was like and if any racial tensions were there, then start prattling on about how elven mages or elves in general are treated in Orlais? That itself would have made more sense.

Oh and referring to OP, I did. But on my second playthrough with H.Noble. I probably would've done it on my elf mage first BUT I walked straight past her in Lothering. It was only after I finished it, when I found out about these forums and was glancing at some threads, did I realise she was in the game. As soon as I did I was like 'OMG HOW DID I MISS HER!?' quickly made a new character and zoomed off to get her. And Wynne too. Didn't know she was one either, because I killed her (Damn Morrigan, why did I bring her ). What can I say, I was very curious about her

My **** reaver female warrior, my amoral female human rogue and my goodie-2-shoes female mage ended up with leliana. It's not that I like her THAT much, but for some odd reason after my first playthrough I always sstarted up with the intention of romancing Alistair (i still dont have that bloody achievement after 6 playthroughs!) but i can't make my self do it ;/

I've done 5 playthroughs, and the only one where I didn't romance Leliana was the one where I avoided romance altogether...

Just completed it, as a matter of fact. My female PC mage has no chance of queendom anyway. Also, while doing my appearance, I discovered this recipe: default human female face + straight shoulder-length red hair = spitting image of Willow Rosenberg. So, you know, it seemed right. Though romancing Alistair wouldn't seem off, either.

Also, I rather like Leliana. She's got a very strong sense of right and wrong, which I definitely approve of. The accent doesn't bother me one bit.

Nah, I just like her a lot more than I like Alistair. Both my males and females usually go for her. Second choice is Zevran. Did Morrigan once (sweeter than I expected). Can't bring myself to do Alistair. I like him, but just not my type.
