Just completed it, as a matter of fact. My female PC mage has no chance of queendom anyway. Also, while doing my appearance, I discovered this recipe: default human female face + straight shoulder-length red hair = spitting image of Willow Rosenberg. So, you know, it seemed right. Though romancing Alistair wouldn't seem off, either.
Also, I rather like Leliana. She's got a very strong sense of right and wrong, which I definitely approve of. The accent doesn't bother me one bit.
It helps that Leliana understands what the "grey" in "Grey Wardens" means, something Alistair & Wynne haven't figured out.....

I can't help but wonder what Duncan would make of Wynne's "It's not about killing darkspawn, it's about serving others" speech, too bad there's no "No, it's all about the darkspawn" reply, seems she doesn't even know what a grey warden is.Emerald Melios wrote...

Does she? I don't remember that. She might not lecture you like Wynne does or insist you've ruined the Wardens forever by letting Loghain in but when does she really make it clear that she understands you're the Grey Wardens? Is it just an absence of dialogue proving she doesn't get it or am I forgetting something?Emerald Melios wrote...

Well....maybe not in explicit terms, but she knows you can't save everyone (as she has to remind Alistair), and some of her conversation, like when she compares her bardic lifestyle to your task as Grey Wardens, points out that "we do what we have to do." Which is rather rational compared to Alistair & Wynne's opinions on Grey Wardens.
