I can play the game in 5 minute steps. Then I either get a major windows crash or the video brakes up and I can no longer see the screen even as the game continues to play. I have the 100 percent CPU issues and high memory usage. I have the patch installed but was crashing before I used the patch. have upgraded all software to current revs.
Id love to play this game, just dont know why I cant and others can. Its a puzzle

I too can play in chunks...about 20 min at a time, then it says Dragon Age has stopped working and closes out. Love the game, but it keeps crashing on me. One other thing...anyone else having sound issues? On random times, the audio will stop then a annoying static sound, much like a jet engine firing off starts for a bit, then goes away and the sound returns to normal. Have had this problem with a few Bioware games.

After trying a few things out i've found that turning off autosave and Avast (my anti-virus software) let me play for 6 hours last night with only one CTD.
