Would like to see something like this for ME2.

If there had been only 6-7 sidequests in ME1 but all of BDtS scale and quality, that would have been perfect. I'd swap 5 of those for 20 go-to-a-bunker-and-shoot-everyone generic quests.

P.S. And it was free
And now they dropped the ball with these linear 5-10 minutes missions, why?!

You get a fun (if brief) loyalty mission, a new heavy weapon (although it is, admittedly, a bit rubbish) and most importantly a wicked new character.

I really have no idea what the heck happened, Bio showed us they got what it takes to deliver a sweet DLC (story/gameplay wise) it even made the Mako missions more interesting, i think i spent two or so hours completing the missions and exploring Asteroid X57, even the prefabs looked cool on the inside...

Back then they cared about us, us being the hardcore group of Mass Effect and Bioware fans that have stuck by them for years and years and are passionate about the games. They listened to what we had to say and gave us what we asked for.
Now they took the EA approach to things and said in atleast some part **** you hardcore fans, and started listening to and catering to the mindless masses and the drones that just want splosions and action non stop. The listened to those people and let them drown all of us out so they could expand sales.
I'm not saying they completely ignored us, we still got a great game with a lot of plusses, but if you look at what the majority of game owners were asking for in ME 2 and it's DLC, and what kinds of things are in the mindless game brainset that sell so well. It's pretty clear to see there were a whole lot of ignored game owners and a lot of catered to casual players out there.

That doesn't really have much to do with this argument since much of Bioware DLC output has been sucky

I would agree with Bring Down the Sky. I just don't think anyone can make a very good argument that any other DLC they did was superior. Shale for Dragon Age being the only real exception. Other than that nothing has really matched the amount of content, quality and price. I'm not saying it's necessarily everyone's favorite, but it is superior to pretty much all else.

Best Bioware DLC: Zaeed Massani.

Shale and Zaeed don't count. They were developed along with the main game and seperated/cut. One to promote preorder sales and the other due to time constraints.

Who put you in charge of what counts and what doesn't count. It doesn't matter how or when or why it was developed here. Is it content? Most definately. Is it downloadable? Check. Hence it is by definition DLC. If someone wants to count it in their vote, it is perfectly acceptable.

The thread is about Bioware's best DLC. Zaeed is content you have to download. DLC. QED.

IBDtS. It's the only DLC BioWare has put out for ME1, 2, or DA:O that made me think "I want more" instead of just "that's it?".
*Turian counselor voice* "I agree."
I swear that was my exact same feeling after i completed it! Well Pinnacle Station wasn't that good, but it was something, hmm... , different? , and i loved the apartment xD. I spent almost half my credits (half of 9999999 is quite a bit) on the intercom requesting supplies
Take care guys!

I miss the Mako... "The Firewalker", everything else aside, lacks the same integration with the third-person portions of the game.
Let's hope Kasumi will be good, as well as what follows.

Funny, I though people didn't "Bring Down the Sky" when it was released, yet now it seems to be a standard for Mass Effect DLC? Don't get me wrong, I think it was good, I'm just surprised how much people like it in retrospect.

My problem with BDST is that it had a decent overworld and 1 new level but reused one of the Generic dungeons Three Times.
It did add a new enemy though.
