...I have played Stalker, and to be honest if you've played one to me you've pretty much played them all. So i would go with Just Cause 2. If you haven't played a STALKER game then i would go for CoP. They are definitely something to experience
edit: If you get stalker and have a family or girlfriend anything like mine don't play it in the dark with headphones. They will creep up behind you and scare that crap out of you. Stalker + Sensory Deprivation / Poke in the Ribs = Brown Pants.

What andyr said. If you've never played a Stalker game then Pripyat will be pretty good. If you have played the other Stalkers then it's not much different and go for Just Cause 2.

Call of Pripyet is almost identical to the original stalker. Recycled enemies, recycled zones...hell even the plot is almost identical. Overall, it is a bit more polished than the original but it seems like a bit of a ripoff considering that half of it is recycled.
That being said, I haven't played JC2 so...enh

Just remember that JC2 is Vista/7 only in regards to the PC. I don't know what OS you're on, Sith, so apologies if you already knew that.

I'm enjoying Just Cause 2 but it likely won't hold my attention for too long. Lots of flashy explosions and destruction. It's basically a GTA style game with the main focus of causing as much chaos as you possibly can.

Well i plan on getting JC2 for ps3 as i am stuck on XP, and i have never played a stalker game before...

Sounds like a good plan. JC2 controls are really made for a controller and Stalker's controls are best on the mouse and keyboard.

By the way what kind of game is stalker anyway? So far it looks really similar to fallout 3..

I have Just Cause 2 for PC, and it's hit and miss to me. It's very much like Mercenaries 2. The grappling is fun, as is the explosions, but it does get old. The story and voice acting aren't very good. There is a ton to do however, but the missions are very similar. If you've played The Saboteur, there are a lot of missions like that where you are collecting things and blowing up similar objects.

FPS with minor RPG influences, I believe.
Fallout 3 is an FPS/TPS/RPG hybrid.

You probably won't find a retail box of Stalker. It's $30 on Steam for the digital download.
