I didn' even know that you could check your character from this site, once you register the game...
Anyway the first time it worked, there were both my first 2 charas. I deleted one since I'm not gonna use him anymore, and kept the one I play with... now it just stopped updating...
The faqs tell about taking time, especially if no one check your charas' profile... still it's been days, more than a week, and not the slightes updating. Why is that?

If it makes you feel better, I've finished the original and the expansion and it says that my profile hasn't been updated since November of last year. Go figure. I don't know why it wouldn't update even though it connects just fine when I load my saved games and what not.

In order for my profile to update, I had to delete a few screenshots of old characters (making room I suppose, even though my file limit had not been reached), then upload a screenshot from a character that you wish to update with your profile (this has worked on two occasions).

Then your profile should update within an hour or two.

I've had this happen a few times, you have to go to your profile and delete all the characters, it usually fixes itself within a day or so.

Thanx for the suggestion, I'll try to delete the character first, than maybe the screenshot trick...

My character is also still not updating. According to my profile I'm level 8 (I'm actually level 9), and there is absolutely nothing in the Story section.
Armour etc is also wrong.

Now, yesterday I played DA:O for the first time in a looong time, so I'm not waiting days or weeks, but only 12 hours. But it actually never updated correctly, so technically I'm waiting since november. AND it states this: 'progress in-game may take up to an hour to appear'. So no matter if I'm waiting 12 hours or a couple of months. It is taking too long either way.

This is what I read in the FAQ:

No one has visited your DA player profile page - the system decides who to sync based on whether their profile has been visited in the past day.

True... I'm probably the only one who visits it. But does that mean I don't get updated at all, or does that mean I do get updated... but it just takes longer?

But... that doesnt explain why my profile hasn't been updated since november.. So I checked my Profile  Diagnostics.

I have no idea why I'm so close to the file limit? Is that normal? Anyway, besides that there isn't anything wrong with these stats.

Not my fault! Since I play on the Xbox 360 there isn't much I can manually do. I can't even make screenshots.

Is that the thing that keeps my profile from getting updated? How to fix it?
(In the meantime I wouldn't mind of people visited my profile just to check if that fixes the problem ... although I doubt that is the cause for the problem)

StrayAngel; I hope you don't mind I join you in this topic? :innocent: We essentially have the same problem, so I thought I might as well put my problem/'story' in here as well.

Funny thing, now that I deleted the character from the charas page here, achievements got updated, listing 2 new ones, concerning something I did in the last play, yesterday.

Now the very strange thing is that those 2 achievement never unlocked in the xbox360, and they're not even included in the list of the ones I have yet to achieve (maybe they're secret ones?).

Still the fact remains: yesterday I did thing that could make such achievements unlock.

Oh wow Posting here was probably a bad idea.
Since I posted my Character Portrait went away, and now I get this message when I boot the game up (never had this before)

I was hoping to find a solution by posting here but instead it gets worse. Probably just an unlucky coincidence, but still...

It's just a real shame this social site doesn't work properly. I always like some good stats in my games, so when it doesn't work properly I almost don't want to play the game anymore untill the site is working the way it should.
On the other hand... The site isn't working the way it should since I have the game (bought in on the release), so I guess it would be stupid for me to wait even longer. Beacuse it IS a good game. 

I have heard that some people managed to fix the problem by saving manually instead of only using the auto-save, but that doesn't work for me.

I hardly even pay attention to the stats here in my profile, I've got characters on there that I deleted a month ago still showing up, very wierd how that works. Playing on the 360 I can't take screenshots anyways so it's not a huge problem, all the stats are in the game on the loading screens or in the codex.

I would like to see my character page update more often than it does now. But I do think it is rather late for a major patch/update...especially for the Xbox 360. However, I do see (and really hope) BioWare doing a complete overhaul of the system for Dragon Age: Origins 2. I hope they improve the series the same way they did for Mass Effect 2



I think BioWare should use something similar to what Blizzard is using for World of Warcraft (the WoW Armory)...but whatever

That would mean EA/BW would have to invest time and money into supporting its fan base. Can't see it happening.

In the option menu on xbox360, I tried to deselect and check again the option boxes for the storage device and for updating the chara here. I did that while logged here as well.

The chara updated, it just doesn't show no more the chara portrait and full figure image. Well, it's already an improvement ^^'

The strange thing it's that I keep getting achievement here and not on xbox...
