if they had mentioned it would be an "Epic racism event!" people would have been less pissed off...

This announcement was pretty.. unrewarding. I mean, even if I had lived in the US, I still wouldn't spam my friends with BW propaganda on facebook/twitter for the off chance that I could get myself a sticker or baseball cap.

Big countdowns should be reserved for big news. Big news this was not.

In all seriousness, if they'd just mentioned it would be an "Epic Event for Resident of the USA" people wouldn't be pissed off. Sure, there'd be a few whining that non-Americans never get cool stuff like this (because we don't) but at least we wouldn't have all been hyped up by a countdown for something that turns out to be nothing.

Watched my son get more and more excited as the clock counted down. We speculated before school each morning as to what this epic community event would be. We live in the UK. **@&~!!

I was slightly disapointed at first, expecting it to be a new game announcement or something like that, but this is still pretty cool.  You can't really complain when we get to auction for stuff without the currency coming out of our pockets. Image IPB

Except when we don't get to auction for stuff without the currency coming out of our pockets.
You know, on account of us not living the the land of the free, home of the brave.

WAit, I think this also counts for canadians. I'm not sure. I mean bioware is canadian. I have a feeling most the U.S. people are just going to get the caps and shirts and all the canadians are going to get the MAss effect PC. Wooah!. Dang home bodies.

Wow, I guess we now know what we'd find if we looked up "Epic Fail" in the dictionary. Honestly BioWare, I expect better from you.

LOL, Brilliant

Sums it up nicely. Incredably stupid to exclude non americans. Does Bioware think that the rest of the world are lesser beings than americans? A random countdown till nothing. Way to be a dick Bioware.

And a prize giveaway is not worthy of viral marketing. Nor is the unique link clicks to spam friends with. but its capitalism, so you are allowed to be dicks sadly.

[PS, I want vid card, but have no chance of winning because I hate twitter. :( ]

Yup, and when your company's been bought by EA, it's double capitalism

Considering the 'sponsors' of this contest and the epic BioWare-related spam we'd have to post on Twitter, I'd say this sweepstakes benefits EA/BioWare a lot more than the fans. They probably should have held the countdown for their shareholders.

Still surprised New York and Florida weren't included.

Though I am disappointed, can't hate on Bioware, doubt the whole US exclusive thing was their choice, probably more to do with some legal mumbo or shipping fees.

I want some free clothing. Anyone else planning to bid for that N7 hoodie if they can? I would love to get my hands on Mass Efffect t-shirts as well if I can.

How many prizes can one win? Two per account, right?
