I thought so too... the picture is very representative of the situation; the bike is Bioware, The guy is the customer, and the pothole is EA

And Bioware, this is the first time you've made this Australian feel bitter. /tips hat

Wow, I considered loosing sleep over this last night. So infinitely glad I didn't, because the outraged shout of wasted time would have woken the family.

Same here (feeling bitter), have always followed bioware and thought they were great. 1st time I have ever felt let down by them. Poor show. I wonder why they have done this? Ok, if they cant roll this out to everyone, np. However, to advertise it as a major community wide event whilst knowing this is just wrong!

Woohoo! Awesome competition, gonna get me some toke... Wait, I can't participate because I live in the U.K....? Well, that sucks arse.
Seriously BioWare, I love your games, and I love you as a company, but still: that's a low blow.

Why did he say mock? Is it a real auction where you get real items or not?
I would have thought 'mock' due to the use of tokens for payment rather than 'real' money. I may be wrong tho..?

I don't have a twitter account and I'm not about to give out my email address again for the sole purpose of participating in an auction for prizes I may or may not want. As it stands I was thinking of getting a $900 asus gaming laptop so I could play HL2 and ME2 on the go as I've heard Alienware laptops are crap. I am very careful whatt electronic I buy.Spuudle wrote...

I don't think many people are saying they won't play BioWare games because of this, they're just saying it's an epic marketing/promotion fail. Which it is.

Is holding a competition... and that is NOT for Canadians... this REEKS of EA corruption...

I want some free clothing. Anyone else planning to bid for that N7 hoodie if they can? I would love to get my hands on Mass Efffect t-shirts as well if I can.
How many prizes can one win? Two per account, right?
There is only like 400 so I highly doubt its even two. I think you might beable to bid for maybe 1 item. check out the rules.
Only 400 prizes? From my impression, it looks like there are over 2,000 prizes...

Did you really have to post the sponsor advertisements in your thread, though?Tooneyman wrote...
Well actually they did have a contest for nothing but canadians recently. Maybe they will have another contest outside the U.S. after this one. You never know.

True, but considering the fact that they rendered 1/8th of the people in the U.S. ineligible (and essentially 96% of the world is ineligible, including Canada), I can't help but believe that the only winners in this sweepstakes are EA and their sponsors.Mallissin wrote...
It's only fair since they sponsored the event, Ecael.
