Think about it for a second:

It's not available in countries outside of the USA and a couple states in the USA. Why is that? Oh yeah, probably due to the idiotic laws associated in some form & fashion with those countries & states. Don't yell at Bioware, they're only complying with your State & Countries laws. Yell at them, not Bioware.

There are no laws that stop companies selling crap around the world. I can buy stuff from other game developer websites yet I live in the UK, why can't I buy stuff from this?

I dont know what laws would prevent people from some online auction, plus if this is the case Bioware should'nt have got everyone expecting somehing by saying community, they should have said US only.

Did they really expect everyone to be happy about this? Like there isn't one person in the group who could have raised up their hand and say "Well, like... you know. When you look at a map and stuff, there's the United States there, like, there. And a bunch of other land, like everywhere around it. eh?"

Part of me still hopes this is an April Fools joke. And even if it's not, that guy in the group should raise up his hand now and say "Well you know.. like... people aren't really happy and stuff. So maybe like, We can back off the project and maybe like make them think it was all a joke eh?"

Once the news is known, I predict the following will happen:

1/3 will claim the news is the greatest thing ever (regardless of what it is, it could simply be pictures of Bioware devs eating toast)
1/3 will claim the news is the worst thing ever (it could be that ME3 will be released in 2 weeks and has been in development for 2 years and is 3x longer than ME2)
1/3 won't care as they're still making posts in the Tali thread.

What is the other 1% going to do?

99% will be disappointed by the announcement.

The other 1% will prefer this turn of events, Jeff.

Ah, yes. "Fairness in contests," where everybody has a chance to participate and a chance to win in the community... We have dismissed these claims.

Even if I could participate this isn't deserving of the hype and countdown they gave it.

they could have said...US only...but no..they left us waiting for something "epic"..yea..epic as in u can watch but can't do anything..if u are from Europe

Epic as defined by webster's dictionary:

heroic; majestic; impressively great

Something to which, this "Bazaar" is NOT in anyway.  I think BW needs a new dictionary.  Or, better yet, be forbidden from using the word "epic" ever again lol.Image IPB

I mean, seriously. Why would you have a five day countdown, put up "EPIC community event" and then say. "Oh, right, most of you wont be able to participate."

It makes no sense! :o Talk about slap to the face!

Eh, they're running a 'epic' Bioware social event and you need a Twitter account to participate. That's kinda weak all in itself.

edit: epic needed some Turian airquotes

It has to be said, there's only SO many times they can hype stuff that turns out to be crap, before people stop paying attention to their hype.

They lost a lot of goodwill from people with the whole Collector's Edition debacle (with how little exclusive content it really had, and the Cerberus Network card advertising).

They lost a lot more when it turned out they'd exaggerated the choices that carry-over from ME1 to ME2.

They lost some more from some people (not me, I add) who were disappointed with the Hammerhead and felt that it had been overhyped but was really a very short waste of time.

I still consider myself a fan of Bioware's games, but they really shouldn't waste what goodwill they have remaining by pulling stuff like this. Like I said, there's only so many times you can hype a bunch of crap before people stop believing anything else you want to build hype for.
