Title says it all, I just bought the downloadable digital deluxe edition and was wondering if there are any memory leaks, major issues, and patches, I should know about prior to actually starting to play?

There's a few broken quests, as well as problems with the main character getting stuck on geometry or in mid-air. Rearranging the quickbar on PC can also cause the game to crash. However, there aren't any outstanding issues that will stop you from completing the game. If you want to have a "perfect" playthrough free of even minor issues, though, you might have problems.

If you have a dual core processor and notice that some of the loading screens are taking a damned long time (like the entire animation looping 3 or even 4 times in a row), then you may be suffering the 'dual-core loading screen problem'.
Easiest way to fix it is to download an application called Mass Affinity (google).
Other than that ME2 has the usual problems that most other games have, like crashes or freezes that only happen with specific PC setups. Some can be fixed by fiddling around with drivers or graphical settings, others require a game patch. Can't really say if you'll have problems like these until you try running the game.

Quicksave frequently for when you hit the "floating in air" bug. Also, in 2010 a WASD-controlled game is a bug in itself. An anachronism that harkens to "back in the day".
