How to make a custom creature use existing ability-sets?

I have created a new Spider Poisonous creature resource and kept most of the original settings, but for some reason it won't fire the creature abilities (poison spit, web etc.) and only does melee. I've set the same AI package, so it does (for example) run at range to perform Poison Spit but there's nothing coming, it doesn't seem to find the ability.

Surely I must have missed something, but I've looked through and can't find where. How does the game know what abilities this creature can use? Is there some sort of sheet that refers to the creature tag?

The character and package AI is set to poisonous spider.

Edit: Solved; seems like the creature was using abilities set in the talents-section (manually).
