And what did we get?
Well I got booted out of the site and this message came up:
Our Apologies
The BioWare websites; online store; master server; and online authentication are temporarily unavailable. Sorry folks; we're having a few technical difficulties. Those pesky Gnomes are banging away at the giant; steam-producing clockwork computers we keep in the basement guarded by Swikky the dire squirrel. We will be back up as soon as we can.

And I'm rather upset about it only being available to Americans. Bioware sells a lot of games in other countries as well. There's no reason to alienate large numbers of your consumers.

So.. Anyone living in either NY or Florida can't participate? Gee, thanks Bioware. Make it open to everyone else in the US except us.<_<

But why would they leave out Europe etc? Isn't this supposed to be internationally accessible? Go figure.

I assumed it wasn't because of how other people were reacting.
So if I lived 30 minutes away from where I do, I could participate. But nope, I can't because I'm on the NY side of the border.
Where are you seeing that it's open to Canadians? Because I don't see any mention of Canada in the rules.
This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the
District of Columbia with the exception of residents of Florida and New
York, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who had
Internet access as of March 15, 2010.

This is a very good question, recently I've had a few road blocks in services that I haven't had before, example: Not being able to buy the Dragon Age comic #1 on the PSP because Sony doesn't have their comic service open to Canada yet.... We are region 1 same as the US but no..
There has to be a reason, but it's still all very lame.
