For me, Branka was the hardest fight, so hard in fact, thanks to my refusal to set it down from "Hard" I chose to side with her instead, and then just convince her to take a walk off the cliff.

The stupid queen spider in the Deep Roads. The same party that got wiped 15+ times by her breezed through the Broodmother and Branka.



The hardest fight for me was the random encounter with darkspawn attacking elven archers. I had to take the difficulty down from hard to easy to finally defeat them.

The Pack of dogs in Redcliffe, I made the mistake of going there first once I could travel with no healer as of yet. After losing the fight because 3/4 of my group can't fight because of the "overhwhelm" ability for the 15th time, I finally skipped them. No other fights so far has caused me as much anger management issues as that one.

If you have not taken, or God forbid killed, Wynne the BEST healer in this game (aside from creating one yourself), then everything will be tough. My standard party makeup is Allistair as the tank (fully Shield specced with Taunt/Threat abilities). Morgan and me (heavy hitting archer and backup melee dps for close encounters). And the wonderful angel Wynne keeping us all alive!

Most difficult is undoubtedly Ser Caulthrien. Holy zits I swear that woman can take down a dragon on her own.

After like 5 reloads, I finally resorted to the cheap tactic of pulling her (and two soldiers) into a room to beat her up 4v1 (ignoring the two lame soldiers). And my team was at level 18-19s.

I found Ser Caulthrien a joke, really. Most intense fight for me is Broodmother, together with the Ogre the first time in the tower. I'm still staring frightenend at the quest to kill Flemeth tho..

My main character got the kill on both Gaxkang and Flemeth, it ranked Gaxkang as the more powerful opponent. I beat Gaxkang the 1st time I fought him, and Flemeth the 2nd.

Flemeth, because I didnt have any mages with me. I had to set the game on easy and still got my arse handed to me hahaha.

the trick to dragons is ranged DPS, they have a lot of close range attacks, and will spank rogues and warriors who are DPS

Archdemon = BALISTA BALISTA BALISTA -- you dont even have to fight that thing really .. Only reason I do when it has like 50hps is so I can see my character jump on its back and thrust my sword through its head =P



High-Dragon all the way for tough.



Wish this game had more dragon battles... considering its called dragon age origins I was quite disappointed to learn there are only 3 =(
