Dear Bioware:

I know that this is just a way to thank your fanbase for following you through these 15 years, but if you do something like this and exclude the multitude of your fanbase after hyping this event it really is frustrating. (Not that you owe us anything, but if you're doing something please do it right)

Great....an announcement for something localized for which I'm not eligible. How about warning people up front?

So Bioware, a Canadian based company, made a contest that excludes Canadians? GG Bioware.

Because only the US seems to be worth to be called Bioware Community. *rolled eyes*

Bioware may be in Canada but they're an EA company now. Frankly I'm surprised they decided to do a contest at all, its a pain in the ass to manage, and good luck finding a contest/sweepstakes that works worldwide, the legal rules you have to follow become a maze.

The whole tweet trivia for points and the "spam forums to get people to click this for points" thing really turned me off though. I'm not going to spam people just to get unique clicks for extra virtual points. How shady is that?

Bioware is one of my Top 3 game companies, but THIS crap + the disappointment that was Awakening... what the hell is going on with you guys?

You should have at least had the decency to post the "US-Only" next to the countdown then we at least would not have gotten hyped with all hopes of some awesome thing being announced but would have known not to get our ****ing hopes up!

JUST to let NY and FL people know you need to read the next line

you MUST be 18 in NY or FL to win any thing

you can be any age in any other state my guess it its some kind of sweepstakes law that makes it illegal for minors to play

So lets recap. Their Epic Fail just keeps getting worse or better depending on which you want to see it, either way it isnt great.

--Only US residents of 48 states, excluding one of the most populous states oh well NYC. Oh and the rest of the world that made Bioware/EA so much money.

no you just MUST BE 18
in said state read it again

Eligibility. This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United
States and the District of Columbia with the exception of residents of
Florida and New York, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry
and who had Internet access as of March 15, 2010.

LEARN TO READ but then if you can read that then i guess you are under 18 any way

Is how I would read it, with the 18+ referring to the the whole "50 United States..."

( "(, )" were added by me)

Actually, that means they have to be below age 18 at time of entry if they had Internet access on March 15th 2010. Presumably, if they didn't have Internet access then, the age doesn't matter. However, I'm guessing what it's actually supposed to say is:

"This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, with the exception of residents of Florida and New York, who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry and who had Internet access as of March 15, 2010."

which means that all participants must be 18 years or older and have had Internet access on March 15th, and that NY and Florida residents are not eligible either way. The marvels of punction.
