The contest looks great. Shame it's only available to those in the USA. Come on Bioware - you do have fans outside America. There seems to be no concessions to gamers outside USA from the store to this new competition.

I think that there are going to be a series of challenges. You will get tokens for completing each and then be able to use those in auctions for various nice things (but only if you live in the USA).

You too? From what I can tell and I think I could be wrong. You save up tokens and then on the 5th you bid on things using the tokens...but I could be wrong.Vendetta11 wrote...

gee and here I thought Bioware was a game company not a corporate sell out. How about fixing all the awakening bugs? how about fixing the 1.03 patch bugs? why isn't that a big enough announcement for Bioware? I've bought every bioware game since BG 1 (except that sonic thing) and for the first time I feel they don't give a **** about games any more

Man, I would have thought Canadians would have been included too (seeing as Bioware and EA have their roots in Canada). I even have my own token count and everything so that I can play, but not count to win. I guess the sponsors didn't want to deal with border crossings - you can always count on sponsors to get like that.
Too bad, it actually looks like a fun way to give back with pretty good prizes.

Well, the problem I have is that I am here at work doing work related things while trying to read up on the contest at the same time....Mina Shephard wrote...

I live in America and to me this is still a fail to the point of being pathetic. I would rather use the tokens to get new content not to compete in some stupid auction thing. Also I don't use Twitter or facebook because I think it's stupid so I guess I'm out on this stuff as well. Like I thought though this whole thing was a fail, and a way for EA/Bioware to try to get more peeps to buy more games and register them for tokens to increase their own bottom line not to really give something back to the community.

Yes I just read the rules and regs and am beyond words disappointed about that and it's taking an extreme effort not to post something that will get me a talking to from a mod.

<-- Another UK customer disappointed by this so called "Epic Community Event". I guess anyone outside of the USA isn't part of your community.

I've been waiting this last days for the big anouncement with enthusiasm. I came back from work this afternoon, saw the "contest" and I liked it. And then... I saw it was only for the US...
I understand that you choosed to make the contest only for US, but what I don't understand is why you give the information to all BioWare Social site, and not only for the US residents if it's an "only-US contest".
I hope you make a similar contest for us Europeans in the future. We pay a lot more four your games in Europe (well... for all games, not only yours, and maybe not the UK people with lower prices, but in Spain and other EU countries we pay almost double for videogames). If you make a contest like this for the US, we deserve one too (if you don't do any contest, then all is OK, but not this discrimination).

Everyone outside USA is thinking they would have much more liked a patch 1.03a to fix all issues of 1.03 instead... Seriously, what a joke...
"you europeans ? LOL... ... ... wait, you're serious ? There are Bioware customers and fans in... Europe ???? Wow... never would have guessed..."

I don't understand how you get points from responding to a challenge on Twitter. Are you supposed to link your Twitter account somewhere?

Really, not open to Canadians? C'mon BioWare... you guys are one of my big sources of Canadian pride. Don't let us down

While I do not think this merited a large amount of hype that bioware created, I am currently working under the assumption that the "US only" thing is because of legal problems, not because Bioware wants to isolate its fans.
Also this is most likely driven by EA, which is housed in the US, instead of Bioware, which is housed in Canada.

It seems they don't mind taking our money, but allowing us to participate in those fun community events to show their fans their appreciation is a step too far.
I wish I could spend my tokens to get a formal, sycophantic apology from whoever came up with this.
