It's forums like these that are a conduit for all things I despise in verminous self-righteous head cases like the ones in this thread. Quoting from a post on Kotaku;
"I work for a contest company, the reason that they exclude Florida and New York is because those two states require you to "bond and register" your promotions with those states. Basically, it means that Bioware would have to jump through a bunch of hoops and pay money (or face fines) to the states of Florida and NY. So, New Yorkers or Floridians, blame your states.
As for Canadians, you cannot legally award a prize to a Canadian through a game of chance. Therefore, Canadians are not eligible for a sweepstakes or an instant win promotion. The loophole is a math skill test, which would be complicated and expensive for Bioware to employ.
Basically, Bioware took the cheapest and most reasonable route and avoided Canada, Florida, and New York." - juxtaposed11
It's a promotion, and a very large one at that. What? is there something wrong with that? They do these kinds of things in the realms of feasibility and all anyone can do is complain. It makes me wonder why I even bother, trying to bring sense and logic to the idiots on the internet who couldn't probably even spell "logic."

Now...here is a question for you...what about ALL the other countries that were cut out?
