This would be nice if it really did span the globe. I understand though that EA is likely behind this not Bioware, or at least they have a hand in it. I mean Bioware is a Canadian company and although EA does have a Canadian branch...they aren't willing to cover international shipping costs...

I still love Bioware, and while I don't feel the sting some others do, it's certainly a bit of a disappointment.

It's not about the shipping costs, it is about het rules and laws the countries have about winning a contest based on chance.

I feel sorry for everyone that can't participate in this. The community is not just part of America it is everyone around the world that is part of this community and plays Biowares games. I don't know what Bioware was thinking when they did this whoever is their head of marketing should be fired, but what am I thinking that's EA so that won't happen.

They should have made the tokens usable for special content for ME2,DAO, and so on that everyone could have purchased with the tokens. That would have took out overseas shipping and duty costs and taxes to other countries and everyone I think would have been rather happy. It's not like they had to make some massive DLC stuff, They could have just made up some new armors and weapons for purchase.

In my opinion they should auction all these prizes on e-bay, and take the profits to pay programmers, and designers to make the special content that all the community could enjoy. But of course the sponsors of this event most likely wont let them do that because they want the exposure and publicity from this event. Unfortunately any publicity from this is going to be bad.

oh another reason to hate my country - once again i can not enter because i dont live in the USA. way to go bioware. and this thing of you cant enter because of laws in your country prohibiting you from winning is crap. I entered a comp with Larian studions years ago for Beyond Divinity and won a copy of the game. they even shipped it to me. no funny clauses of stupid fantasy laws.

As far as I know, this is a GAMING community, not Auction goers community or Israel Orange Kibutz community. Anything related to their games would still be related to the GAMING community!
