Well, like it or not, much of  "rest of the world" were/are communists. Should I feel dirty now?<_<  Nah, don't worry, I didn't take it seriously.

So there's still no response from Bioware or EA?

If there is going to be a response, it'll still probably be at least 7 hours away (given it's 2am there now). Even if they disagree with all 115 pages worth of posts here (plus the rest on the other two sites), I hope they do us the courtesy of at least explaining their position. Silence just adds fuel to the fire.

This is what Bioware is doing right now:

LOL...nice vid and link fixed... (it would be nice when ppl post url's here, to add the [url[ ]/url] tag (with the right bracktes [] combo)

Funny video!!!  (And quoted for truth, regarding the [ ] tags, they're not that difficult to master, heck, I managed to get the hang of those... eventually ;) )

Sorry to both RageGT and Eleima, I forgot that Bioware's forum doesn't auto link .

I know about the codes, I frequently use .

People are complaining because it was announced as an 'Epic Community Event', and was hyped up for a week (even with a countdown on numerous Bioware websites), only for us to find on the day it comes out that EVERY country in the world is excluded apart from the US (and even then not all of the country.)

This could have been avoided if they let us know this fact before hyping.

They couldn't really have told anyone without spoiling the fact that it was a contest. Next time they might think twice about announcing a promo in this manner, but doesn't really matter at this point.

Promo contests tend to work this way, the fact that there are a number of people complaining only really shows they don't understand that.

Waste of effort, to be honest.

I'm
fairly certain he actually has no idea what "sense of entitlement"
actually means.

Obviously.

Keep the posts comming guys, if we do they might make Kasumi free dlc as an apology!

Also i love how bioware have gone into hiding and wont crawl out from under the rock untill the 80% of the none-community have something else to talk about... Like a new game. Luckily the signatures will stay around for quiet a while :D

Its called recovering from nuclear fallout. They need to figure out how the hell to salvage things faster than they are slipping. I expect some sort of announcement in the next 24 hours. If not.. Well... I have never purchased a BioWare game used before... first time for everything.

haha true :D

But it feels like they were siting in the office thinking of good ways to impress everyone and then suddenly some one come up with the idea "Lets write a epic community event! with a week long count down!"
Did no one over at Bioware and EA think that it might be a very very very bad idea?

I live in Maryland, U.S.A. I am very much eligible. I refuse to take part in this marketing ploy. Its insulting to 90% of the community as a whole. I dont blame BioWare as much as I do EA. Regardless its a mockery of intelligent loyal fans.

This ^^  Why anyone in their right mind would even want to take part of being subjected as a marketing shill in hopes of some free swag is beyond me in the first place. Keep you junk Bioware, next time you have a countdown for something, make it something actually cool, like free DLC or something. This whole viral marketing idea is about the lamest thing I've ever had the displeasure of hearing about.

Like I've said a few times in various topics lately, welcome to the new Bioware, or should we just start calling it EA-Alberta? Lame guys really really lame. Posted Image

That's the *only* thing I can't wrap my head around...  Didn't it occur to *anyone*, anyone at all really, that writing "EPIC COMMUNITY EVENT" for something that wouldn't include the entire world, just some 48 states of the US of A, would be a bad, bad idea?
Granted that there are technical and legal difficulties (which make it impossible, really) in making this a worldwide thing.  Now why, why, *why* use a week-long countdown for this?  It's a huge build up with a big letdown.
I had my hopes set on an Old Republic beta...

The sense of entitlement here is hilarious.
Keep posting guys!

Paying money for their products and actually have an account on their so called community would VERY MUCH make us ENTITLED.

I hear there is a short pier you can take a long walk on.

You don't honestly believe that ............. do you?

Sure I do.

It's how they handled the whole thing. How are we not entitled to respond when they said 'COMMUNITY" in the countdown.

We are here we have social accounts we pay for their products, in case you completely missed it you get MOST tokens by PAYING bioware money.

So absolutely we are entitled to respond and show our disdain for this debacle.
They brought it upon themselves with how they did it.
A post in the forum as an announcement that they will have a Bazaar and that they can UNFORTUNATLY only make it available to US citizens would have been a lot better.

Seriously , they hyped an event which the WHOLE Bioware community payed attention to.
You know the other 90% saw the same banner.

How about the Non-Bazaar-Community members could change their unusable tokens into usable Biopoints? :(:sick:<_<:mellow:;):o:whistle::devil:

This.

Or at least something similar. Free Alternate Appearence Pack for all?

I mean, why even let non-community members collect points in the first place, just increases the dissapointment when you read the fine print, tbh.

Eh... no, they could easily have said 'Epic US Community Event' or 'Epic Community Event, US-Only' or something similar.
