While there are logical reasons why only the 48 stats of the US are eligable - i doubt you will find a logical reason for BioWare to handle the event as they did. At least no satisfactory reasons.

The new guy ucked up?

Suuuure!  Blame it on the new guy!! (Sorry, but that was pretty funny, MrFoo, I just had to quote that.:D)
But as Sad Dragon said, hardly a valid reason.

I'm sure the reason will be something like this "It's my first day. "

Actually you can. You don't have to agree with someone to believe they have a right to their opinion. I may not agree with what someone says but that doesn't mean I don't think they have the right to say it.

All people have the right to an opinion on any topic of their choosing. That doesn't translate to having the right to EXPRESS that opinion. The right to expression is earned as far as I am concerned.

Unfortunately the, "Great Levelling," that occurred with the perpetuation, commercialisation and increased usage of the Internet removed many ways of telling if someone HAD earned the right to express their opinions on various subjects; now everyone is an expert and not a soul is ignorant.

Last time I checked in most countries the "right to expression and voicing opinions" are protected ammendments in the respective countries constitutions.

Hence YES, people do have the right to express them.

On a forum however, it actually is a different matter, since it is more of a dictatorship, IE they can "ban" you for having an opinion.

Still the opinion exist and the person can still express it, just not at the same location but have to use another venue.

The right to freedom of expression is protected in most countries in theory. However in practice, there are laws that define what exactly you are allowed to say about what. For example, in Germany the Right to Freedom of Expression is protected by constitutional law, but Holocaust Denial is illegal and can result in imprisonment along with other spoken crimes such as incitement to racial or ethnic hatred. The word of the law on such matters varies from country to country of course - and is VERY grey in most cases - but there is no country on this planet that truly practices the right to freedom of expression without afterwards restricting exactly what can be said under other laws.

In other words, the technicality that is The Right to Freedom of Expression is merely an idealogical hook thrown in to constitutional law the world over so that people actually believe democracy exists when - in reality - its existence is debatable :-)

In other words, I can easily argue that freedom of expression does not exist in any practical sense ;D Therefore I shall continue to insist that people EARN the right to expression of opinion.

In other words, I'm a typical European; I'm a bigoted fascist.

First they ****** people off by zero support and DLC that introduce more bugs than fixes, thus loosing lots of fans, then they decide to just kill fanbase in general by calling us "not part of comunity".
Well, guess Im not part of comunity now, and, damn, I feel proud of it! Support for BioWare -100%... where did I putt bug free FF13 :/

word!  FF13 was a bit slow getting started, but once the game gets rollin, its AMAZING!!!  I love the industrial feel of it, reminds me of 7.  I see myself getting many more playthroughs out of FFXIII than i ever would out of ME2 or DragonAge.  Plus, it feels good to know my saves wont ever be broken, and i dont have to worry about bugs breaking a game 40+ hours in.

I wonder what percentage of the US "bioware community" reside in NY and FL... these are 2 of the 11 most pupulated states. I still would just like to know why these two states are excluded, like i said before, i have never seen FL specifically excluded from somthing like this.

Purchase of DA:O = $55

Purchase of ME2 = $55

Purchase of DA:A = $40

Being told you're not part of the community = priceless

BIOWARE, it's everywhere you want to be (except FL and NY and everywhere other than the US)

its been 19 hours since this fiasco started and not a single statement or even acknowledgement that they screwed up. so fine if they dont consider me apart of the community then i guess my money isnt something they appreciate either..

I just asked for a refund of the 800 bioware points sitting in my account that i was planing on using for the new kasumi DLC. i would rather use my money to support companies that actually respect their community

Anyway, you should probably keep in mind that Bioware is doing this on a voluntary basis

What the hell gave you that Idea?

Because I re-read what I wrote and realised that I was a bigoted fascist. With that in mind, it's hardly surprising that I like to quote myself, is it? What with the bigotry ;-)
