I live in Maryland. I had no idea there was an EA Baltimore. That sucks. :\\

What was wrong with Oblivion?  I still play it to this day - every once in a while.

Oh, you bought the Horse Armor Pack, didn't you?

The fact that it's an abomination of a game and absolutely horrible?

Oh you must be one of those people easily confused by "purdy colurs"

I don't recall asking your lame ass for an opinion.  Go crawl back under your bridge.

Hey stop it! Can't you see that's exactly what EA/BioWare wants right now!? Us killing ourselves with them sitting at their desks and laughing them into hospitality!

Leave Bethesda from this.

This is about EA and Bioware...

Bethesda has done more to rape the RPG than any other company in history.

So, No.

Oh... but their RPGs are still one of the most popular? Weird.

Why exactly did Oblivion ****** you off? Because Bethesda screwed their community? Just curious.

Nothing like that. I felt just like it was dumbed down Morrowind, and Morrowind is one of my favourite games ever.

Clever, thanks for that Original Content ™

He's probably one of those "purists" - if the game doesn't use DnD version 3 rules then it makes him physically ill to even look at the box art.

This contest is by BioWare not Electronic Arts. Everyone here knows EA, if they were involved their logo would be everywhere; on the front page, on the bottom of the page, on the ceiling, on the ceiling fan, etc.

This was for the fifteenth anniversary of BioWare. BioWare has not been owned by EA for its entire lifespan and BioWare has made its own mistakes when EA wasn't even in the picture. EA certainly has it's problems but this is BioWare's mistake in how they marketed this.

Also since I see Westwood Studios comparisons, the problems with Westwood occurred when EA moved Westwood to LA and many employees refused to go. BioWare hasn't moved and their games, obviously have not suffered by being under EA.

Bethesda is awesome. Fallout 3 is awesome, Oblivion is awesome. Bethesda developers actually caring about creating a rich modding community is what makes those games awesome, and is partly why Dragon Age felt like a disappointment to me. DA's resource structure is not at all mod-friendly (mods will very easily conflict with each other and make problems for the users), which could have been avoided or circumvented to a degree if they had cared to. They also quite obviously skimmed-out on giving the game the textures it needed - some of them are plain and simply unfinished. Everything feels rushed with them, like they're scrambling for dollars at a ridiculous pace. They're pushing out DLCs and over-priced mini-expansions while they SLUG their way through horrible patches that seem to have the reverse effect of what patches are supposed to do.

The worse thing Bethesda ever did was Horse Armor DLC, but compared to Appearance Pack DLCs and these cheap marketing schemes BioWare is pulling and their overall ineptitude as of late, the Horse Armor comes off looking pretty reasonable. Bethesda themselves is about as fine an RPG developer I've ever seen. I certainly have never seen them stoop to conning customers with Epic Countdowns that lead into viral marketing schemes with trite self-promoting merchandise for prizes. It's just so lame that while I laugh at it for being stupid marketing, it also just leaves a bad taste in your mouth, like watching a late-night infomercial. Sham-wow is better than this./rant

And here I'm going to stop.
Everyone has their own opinion.
There is no need to discuss this matter on this thread. ;)

I guess BioWare is just hoping this fire dies out instead of doing anything to put it out.

It's too bad, they used to be much better at interacting with the community.

Then again, I guess we're not the community.

I can't understand how willfully stupid most humans are. Bioware has an unexplained countdown, so that must mean that they're promising to deliver some infinitely orgasmic freebie never before experienced by any gamer on the planet. How DARE Bioware use an evilly misleading countdown to open up a new online store!

WTF?? The power of marketing is not in it's professionalism or perfection, or even it's trickery. It's in the guaranteed stupidity of consumers.

When I grow up I wanna be a Geth. fersher. I just need to find a cool BW teeshirt to wear over my N7-patched armor first.

There's far to much oxygen on this planet to just hope the flames will die, its no longer winter so hoping for cold weather to kill the flames won't happen, and the lack of response has only added fuel to the fire.

The combination for a fire to survive: heat, fuel, and oxygen, all have been met.

I left the thread around page 80. I see that BioWare/EA is using the tried-and-true method of "remain silent until the **** storm blows over".

Because I'm a European? Because I'm not part of the community?
Geez, you humans are all racist!

I'm the one who started the whole "Let's click on other Europeans'/nom-community members' referrals for irony's sake". Ya know, the one that accidentily started one of those huge pyramids?

I think that ''Reapers arrival to planet Earth'' would be more acceptable than this event.

Now... do you all think Bioware will write something? Not to this thread, but on the news, or on the web. And if yes, when? :)

I guess... this week? Or never.
