I think someone can write a stupid news for today xD Contact them xD
They only post the 'real' news from the ME2 menu screen, they don't add/make up their own news.

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet, but I'm definitely not going to sift through 150 pages to find out. The reasoning for the contest only being held in the USA is simple. The USA has this lovely law that says if you hold a contest within the USA, you cannot offer it anywhere else.
So there it is. Is it right? No. Am I trying to justify the decision? No. Just giving out information as to why Bioware won't offer the contest elsewhere. It's because they're not allowed to.
In that case, they should've mentioned that the contest was only for Americans and not just call it "epic COMMUNITY event". Or just add a little paragraph explaining why it's being held ONLY in U.S.

It seems pretty clear that they are just going to ignore this thread until people give up and go away.

It's forums like these that are a conduit for all things I despise in verminous self-righteous head cases like the ones in this thread. Quoting from a post on Kotaku;
"I work for a contest company, the reason that they exclude Florida and New York is because those two states require you to "bond and register" your promotions with those states. Basically, it means that Bioware would have to jump through a bunch of hoops and pay money (or face fines) to the states of Florida and NY. So, New Yorkers or Floridians, blame your states.
As for Canadians, you cannot legally award a prize to a Canadian through a game of chance. Therefore, Canadians are not eligible for a sweepstakes or an instant win promotion. The loophole is a math skill test, which would be complicated and expensive for Bioware to employ.
Basically, Bioware took the cheapest and most reasonable route and avoided Canada, Florida, and New York." - juxtaposed11
It's a promotion, and a very large one at that. What? is there something wrong with that? They do these kinds of things in the realms of feasibility and all anyone can do is complain. It makes me wonder why I even bother, trying to bring sense and logic to the idiots on the internet who couldn't probably even spell "logic."

agreed they'll just keep all the raging on a couple of threads. to keep it under control then just leave it till it settles down or until they have a solution.... like an apology for example

As much it would sell before the countdown. We are in this network because we love BW products. This whole event so far is a disaster and we will criticize them in order to raise their standards in marketing section. But thats it.
Example: Personally i hate blizzard but this doesnt mean that i wont buy their products.

Although I suppose no matter when they announced it people were going to get mad that it's USA only, but surely there was a better way of handling it.
