I don't think EA manages the Bioware website and included the world-wide countdown to create the hype...

Whether it was EA's idea or not (there is NO way of knowing that), BioWare implemented it and stood behind it and endorsed it fully.
How can you absolve one company and point the finger at the other? If anything this was BioWare's idea fully, and the only reason EA's name is on the legal jargon is because they are, after all, the parent company. But who knows. They both suck, atm.

To many people asume EA Bioware does give a damm about their community, there is a reason why EA has such an negative reputation, hence there wont be any official statments;
It came down to numbers really , result was a badly done and insulting PR stunt.

Its very simple for me, i wont buy any futher products from the company, since this would mean i directly support this kind of policy, i will play them tho. Since obviously US is their main interest thy wouldnt mind if the rest of non comunity does the same.

As for Bioware , as an historian i belive in the logical repetition of human stupidity; give it a few years, after that the Doctors will move on and make a new company with the core devs; while the Bioware lag will serve only as a money pig for EA to squize till it drops.

I wonder why Bioware hasnt said anything yet, the last time they remained silent over something they messed up on people only got angrier. Now they are looking to repeat that mistake again.

Watch Kasumi DLC trailer again and you'll hear this "Silence is golden"
That's how it works...

I like how Stanely Woo is offering no feedback, just shutting down threads. Oh, wait, I guess if I don't discuss the Bioware Bazaar, then I might get this thread shut down... umm... oh, right, how about the sincere hope this is some sort of elaborate april fools joke on par with the Blizzard Wisps as a new race thing before Burning Crusade came out? Wait, already been done... darn... well, I suppose I could say how completely smashed myexpectations were, and that I have lost any hope Bioware will make anything good for Mass Effect 2 from here on out until Mass Effect 3.

In relation to this "Bazaar fiasco"- I can see it now: some guy, who started this whole thing, sitting in his office, scratching his head, wondering why nobody likes the Bazaar.

Oh wait! I forgot! These forums are only a minor fraction of the entire community, so our opinions don't make any difference n the slightest!

(despite the fact that Gallup does polls with sample sizes of about 1000, and this forum is at least ten times that. Do the people at EA/Bioware know anything about statistics?)

Watch it, rate it, comment, vote and read the description! (And watch the Video Response for another good one! Really!)

At 0days:00hours:00mins:00secs ... it did not start... unless the Epic Event was the Server Crash... hmmm... come to think of it... it was Epic... FAIL!

It's not like Europeans (or the rest of the world for that matter) didn't get shafted before. Look at the GameStop preorder exclusive or the Dr. Pepper promotion. So we really could've expected this. We weren't really part of the BioWare community before this event, were we?

Thanks Area 51 I happen to be Canadian and I do blame EA for this, not Bioware which has an office in Montreal.

I think everyone in this forum should individually PM Preistley and Woo. that would really raise the bar. Otherwise they can pretty much just ignore this thread and it'll all just go away.

Difference is, you could cheat the Dr. Pepper promotion and still get the prizes

Did they have a week long countdown and said it was a "Epic Community Event"?  The point of our protest is the fact that a week of hype was built and then most of the fanbase was shafted.  If they had just said this was a US only event from the start, without the countdown, this wouldn't be an issue.

"Sponsor

This Contest is sponsored by Electronic Arts Inc., 209 Redwood Shores Parkway, Redwood City, CA 94065. The Contest is governed by and is in accordance with the laws of the state of California in the United States of America."

Obviously reading isn't a strong point for some, becaues Bioware...A CANADIAN COMPANY would OBVIOUSLY want to alienate THEIR OWN FREAKING COUNTRY. Be mad at the publishers the source of money and control, they dictate how things go, and their subsidiaries just do as they are told. Because it is plain and obvious that Bioware is NOT to blame for this, but EA, so I suggest taking your ranting to their website (www.EA.com) and TELL THEM!

Ow... Right... If BioWare is doing something right then we should love them, but if they do something wrong then it is EA's fault. That way BioWare always wins. Sure... You sound like the average BW apologist. Consider this: BioWare *is* EA. Thanks for your thoughts.

Cut the community officials some slack. If they don't reply they probably weren't allowed or they know it will simply be more fuel to the fire.
Let us remember for a second that we are mainly complaining about not being able to be EA's personal link builder in Google.
This said Bioware ought to be trolled for this.

Pro-tip Bioware...don't have countdowns when what you are revealing consists of a massive disappointment for a large percentage of your community.
