Won't they at least tell us why it is US ONLY???????????????????????????????????
It has to do with legal restrictions that differ per country. Arranging something like that would be a lot of work and EA only likes making money if it doesn't require hard work.

For some reason this entire situation reminded me of that scene Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory when you said good day.

If I have tokens... and I'm not eligible... what do I do with them? Screw with the auction by upping the price? Potentially winning prizes and then saying haha joke's on you BioWare?
I say yes - this is what I shall do!
Now that sounds like a fun thing to do. It would be a shame to let the tokens go to waist

Why don't you just shut the hell up? They give out so much hype about the countdown only for the vast majority of us to actually get annoyed(including several americans except elitist scum like you) when we found out it doesn't apply to anyone not living in the untited states.
If you think my "request for compensation" was serious then you are somebody thats simply too damn guillible.

Yeah, you appear to be policing the forums dicating what people can or can't do. And incase you lack the ability to read, i clearly stated i am american and i wasn't whining about how I couldn't enter a dumb ass contest but rather BAWWWING about how non americans can't get in the contest because one like me feels its unfair to shaft out other people.ImperialOperative wrote...

That includes you and me which makes it more fun!!
Because I'm raging? I'm the one baww'ing about not being able to enter some contest?

Sad, I bought ME1, ME2 (twice) DA:O, DA:A, Jade empire, KOTOR 1, most of the old Black Isle stuff (BG1, BG2, Throne of Baal, Planescape, Icewind Dale), NWN1, NWN2.
I'm from Quebec, we usually get shafted for contests because of extra language laws and special unique laws by Loto-Quebec.
But come on, not even the rest of Canada? Sad BioWare, really sad.

For everyone outside the community, I wouldn't even let it bother you too much, because the rules for this contest are such a POS, it isn't even funny. You know there are just a handfull of people with absolutely no lives, that will take all the questionaires (which are stupid as hell because you punish the actual game buying fans and reward pirates or people who just want free crap) And have nothing but time to sit there and win every single challenge and build up an enormous token tally.
And those of us that even can participate, but have a life, a job, a wife or girlfriend, real breathing friends we hang out with in the flesh, we won't be able to to bid on anything, because the people with no life racked up 20,000 tokens over the course of the challenges.
It's nothing but a complete and total cluster****. Pretty much everyone get's screwed in this deal, unless you live in the US, but only certain parts, and have no life or unlimited time to sit and complete these stupid Twitter challenges at specific awkward times for anyone trying to carry on a life.
Thanks a lot Bioware, I hope you get to feel what it's like to get kicked in the nuts too one day, since you did to all of us.

That would make sense,
except nobody lost anything. They only didn't GAIN something while
others did.
Selfish pricks is what this fan-base is.
them throughout the years, not pirating their games, giving them support
and then they hype us up with this countdown and then we realize this
countdown only applies to those living in the United states and no one
else can participate.
Thats a slap to the face. Really its like
your dad tells you he will buy you a present, you open it to not find
anything inside and before you react, he kicks you in the balls.
Your metaphor, and your logic, sucks. Bioware has no obligation to give you this free stuff. If you're just going to complain like this when they do, they'll just stop doing this altogether. Why do you have this stupid sense of entitlement. I agree with ImperialOperative, you guys are just being selfish pricks. Grow up.
Compensation for not getting something you didn't earn. Yea, that makes a lot of sense.
Yes, but calling it an "EPIC COMMUNITY EVENT" where probably more than half the community is excluded is ... hmmm ... false advertising?
And I say again, this wont keep me from buying ME3 or DA2 ... love both series and love (most) of biowares games. But this is just epic fail ...
Exactly. It's not racist like some have amusingly argued, but it has been very badly handled. I think people are just annoyed, like I am, at the over-hyping of an event that turned out to exclude most of the community it was meant to be a gift to. Bioware didn't steal my car, they haven't raped anyone and they aren't racist; that doesn't mean that there isn't a legitimate grievance here.

polls probably mean no more to Bioware overall than a really overfull thread of complaining, but-
I think it would be kind of neat to see how many responses this poll could get. I'm shooting to see over a thousand. Try and promote it if you are really upset about the announcement.
