I got a few thousand tokens, can I donate them to a member of the "community" or not?
And yes this is a serious question.

I'm glad Sloth of Doom posted that. I thought it was kind of fishy when someone earlier in the thread said you can't offer contests in other countries if you it for the USA. It just didn't seem logical. Hasn't Pepsi and Coca Cola offered contests over the whole world at the same time?

Hell, why not. The more tokens the more we can interfere with the actual auction.Kaiser Shepard wrote...

Actually Canada has more guns per capita than the States. And thanks for the stereotypes.cole2buhler wrote...
So i am to understand that Canada which is basically America without the guns, and has a bioware office like even allow Alberta to join in or even Edmonton and area so ya thanks for the outside thought Canadians still play games here even if that means in an igloo swigging beatrs on the back of a Mountie playing hockey EA .

That's a common mistake. I have an employer. Only dogs have a boss. If he does something stupid and if I have a better solution then I'll advice him to do something that may save his ass. Most of the time he's happy with that attitude.-Area51-Silent wrote...

Well thats great and all, but having worked in corporate America, and tried that, I've been told "This how we do things here, and this is how you will do them, or we will find someone to do it this way." Unless it's questionable on a legal stand point or ethically, thats just how it goes. I haven't work for a small company so I can't say otherwise.

since we from the non- community get tokens, can we disturb the auction in any way? like prices ?
I don't really see the point in ruining the event for the people who can participate, they're not to blame.
Paragon + 15
People who do participate, directly endorse that kind of policy ; not to mention the linking grunts

So you're saying that everybody should be as cynical as yourself, and that fans of BioWare are just stupid for looking forward to something that BioWare promise.
Possibly true, but still I feel an unreasonable expectation to have. It's up there with "world peace" as far as unrealistic expectations go.
So I still disagree with you, but at least your point is clear.
I'm only trying to save your souls, sanity, and prevent the early death of thousands of people across the world.

I say these things because, we assume that Bioware can basically do whatever they want to, but they answer to EA because thats where the publishing money comes from, and for a lack of better words, thats who they work for.
When your boss tells you to do somthing, you do it! I agree that the rest of the world should have been included, and I find it flat out odd that Canada, especially, wasn't included. When people say "oh they didn't have to put that on their website" well yes they did, typically the contest is completely designed and packaged before it's implemented, including all the marketing tools that go along with it.
Bioware more than likely knew this would happen, they knew that there would be repercussions, I mean why would you want to exclude anyone from the community? It's obvious where this came from, and my reason for really disliking where gaming is going (publishing comapnies). EA and Activision both have terrible reputations because all they look for is the bottom dollar, and not the best interest of the comsumer. Bioware is a company made of people who just want to make great games for gamers, by gamers.
Unfortunately thats where we are heading. We the gamers could stand against it by becoming active in the gaming industry. What if we were share holders of BW and each on of us were paying 50-100$ per year inorder to ensure independence of the company and the right to vote?
Wow. That's a interesting idea. I'd go for that.

I really doubt it! We are EXCLUDED from it. Meaning no action from us is valid. Would be nice if we could sell them on E-Bay though!

Well that's just futile.
It's events like this that make your point far more clearly. You cannot be told disillusionment; You must experience it for yourself. Or something like that.
