What is taking them so long to acknowledge this thread. Its been over a day, plus its a stickied thread and theres over 4000 comments.

These are the people who were stupid enough to think that the marketing for the Bazaar was a good idea. If they are that stupid then they're probably stupid enough to still think that it was a good idea, and to that we're all just a bunch of whiners that are upset because we can't play their game, that we whine about free dlc, that we whine about pretty much anything, and hence we should be ignored.

Or

They're all in commitee blaming each other for this farce, trying to decide who should aplologise, and how to word such an apology and whether such an apology would constitute an admission of guilt in any legal action etc...

Or

Perhaps they are thinking of having a COUNTDOWN to an apology.

When your boss tells you to do somthing, you do it!

That's a common mistake. I have an employer. Only dogs have a boss. If he does something stupid and if I have a better solution then I'll advice him to do something that may save his ass. Most of the time he's happy with that attitude.

Well thats great and all, but having worked in corporate America, and tried that, I've been told  "This how we do things here, and this is how you will do them, or we will find someone to do it this way." Unless it's questionable on a legal stand point or ethically, thats just how it goes. I haven't work for a small company so I can't say otherwise.

I've also worked for a US company. The same thing applies there. Respect for the position people are in helps and it all has to do with attitide and how much you are willing to do for the best interest of your company. The well being of the company benefits me in the end. Along the same lines, customer satisfaction benefits the company too.

BTW: What makes you think that US companies are any different? Talking about attitude...

Bioware will not respond to this because Chris made the topic. You guys will probably have to make your own thread talking about your sudden hatred for Bioware.

I say these things because, we assume that Bioware can basically do whatever they want to, but they answer to EA because thats where the publishing money comes from, and for a lack of better words, thats who they work for.

When your boss tells you to do somthing, you do it! I agree that the rest of the world should have been included, and I find it flat out odd that Canada, especially, wasn't included. When people say "oh they didn't have to put that on their website" well yes they did, typically the contest is completely designed and packaged before it's implemented, including all the marketing tools that go along with it.

Bioware more than likely knew this would happen, they knew that there would be repercussions, I mean why would you want to exclude anyone from the community? It's obvious where this came from, and my reason for really disliking where gaming is going (publishing comapnies). EA and Activision both have terrible reputations because all they look for is the bottom dollar, and not the best interest of the comsumer. Bioware is a company made of people who just want to make great games for gamers, by gamers.

Unfortunately thats where we are heading. We the gamers could stand against it by becoming active in the gaming industry. What if we were share holders of BW and each on of us were paying 50-100$ per year inorder to ensure independence of the company and the right to vote?

Wow.  That's a interesting idea.  I'd go for that.  Image IPB

Everybody would win out of this.  BW gets the cash needed and we would have someone to represent us on the decisions table. No ea no activision.

The only problem with this is that EA already Owns Bioware. Therefore the only way to have any vested interest in Bioware is to buy stock in EA.

That, OR, Bioware staff all quit and form a new company called BioWare ver 2.0! Image IPB

Yes im aware of that and there is almost no problem without a solution. Everything has a price and in this case a united BW community and not only might be able to gain BWs freedom back.

As angy as I am that being a Floridian I'm ineligible to participate in the Bazaar... I'm not shocked nor upset with BioWare. It's state law that force companies doing such give aways/lotteries to adhere to rather odd laws of capital that it makes it cost prohibitive to allow contestants in my state. The same thing happens when going from one country to another...

Guys, let's just click on the referral links of our fellow non-community members for ****'s sake. Collecting tokens this way is still somewhat fun.

Let's refrain from creating another page stretching pyramid:

An EPIC apology.

Dear community, we are sorry to bring Twitter in to the contest, but we must hit the top of the Twitter charts!

You know they won't respond, so anger builds, this thread becomes even more popular; and thus more free advertising they get for the bazaar right?

I agree, though I am talking about a big company, a large corporation which is EA. My own experience teaches me that the higher ups who are completely disconnection from reality (for the most part) make decisions that only make sense to a quantitative business model of improving their bottom dollar (meaning "how can we do this contest the cheapest way possible"). It makes fiscal sense without making a lick of sense to the rest of us, but they still do it.

Why? I don't know, because they are responsible to their share holders (though it doesnt seam that way). I look at activision, with MW2 release. They ruined their relationship with PC gamers, yet PC copies still sold, they ruined their relationship with console gamers, yet the over priced map pack still sold (that was full of glitchs I hear). So apparently these companies are still making a ton, and the only people that really suffer are the truly talented people that design the games and watch as the publishers slowly take away anything good from it.

Personally, I got no malice towards them, there are alot worst things that companies can do. I have never bought a bad Bioware game, and that says a lot about the product. While I agree the contest is unfair (and the hype was questionable) the great product still stands with me, and thats enough for me. As long as I get a good product, I am not ripped off fiscally, then I am happy. Who's to say that somthing similar for international players wouldn't happen too? maybe? I dunno, but its pretty good speculation.

For the 10000th time the issue isnt the contest, the issue is the false advertising before the contest, implying that it was to be community wide. And THAT was the fault of Bioware.Pay attention.

Yep... and the fact that we were all invited to some EPIC event, spent 6 days on a queue for admittance and what? what? The event is far from Epic and we had the door shut right at our faces!
