Yeah, you appear to be policing the forums dicating what people can or can't do.   And incase you lack the ability to read, i clearly stated i am american and i wasn't whining about how I couldn't enter a dumb ass contest but rather BAWWWING about how non americans can't get in the contest because one like me  feels its unfair to shaft out other people.

I'm policing jack-squat.  I'm just getting my laughs and trying to inject some emotionally unattached reason into this epic-rage-fest.

And after weeks of ranting about how I won't buy Awakening because of it omitting the US-ending, I was actually just going to buy it regardless tomorrow...you know, because it's BioWare.

Won't they at least tell us why it is US ONLY???????????????????????????????????

It has to do with legal restrictions that differ per country. Arranging something like that would be a lot of work and EA only likes making money if it doesn't require hard work.

EA have offices in many European countries, well at LEAST here in the UK, and its not a small operation. Id be amazed if this was EA's fault.

Also, since they started legal action against langdell most of the gaming community has begun to love em :D

Activision are the new EA  /werd

Sithlord it's ok there will always be those few annoying fanboy douchebags who will flame you for voicing your opinion when you feel wronged, just be like the rest of us look at them laugh at how sad they are and keep walking.

Even if this was open to the whole world... why would I want to go to twitter and spend hours of collecting tokens for some ... not really interesting prizes? I've better things to do.

You know... if someone told me I could win a signed conceptart of ME, or a laptop/computer via an artcontest, or writers contest... yeah, I maybe would participate.
But collecting tons and tons of tokens, spending hours doing that...why do I feel reminded of MMORPGS?

So to everyone who's participating: Have fun, but I really don't care about the event. Didn't deserve all this hype.
And seeing all this anger and frustration in this thread, I say it was one interesting way to fail your fans, Bioware.

I live in FL, but am unsure as to why both FL and NY respectively are unable to participate in such contests. Anyone care to fill me in?

Although I am eligible, I refuse to particpate in this sorry excuse of an event.  Even though people will probably still play this silly auction house, I hope you guys have to incur some loss from that $60,000 in prizes to learn that this was a horrible idea; I think this negative reaction of the fans will be enough, though.

Sigh. 5470 points I won't be able to use because I'm Canadian.

Sad, I bought ME1, ME2 (twice) DA:O, DA:A, Jade empire, KOTOR 1, most of the old Black Isle stuff (BG1, BG2, Throne of Baal, Planescape, Icewind Dale), NWN1, NWN2.

I'm from Quebec, we usually get shafted for contests because of extra language laws and special unique laws by Loto-Quebec.

But come on, not even the rest of Canada? Sad BioWare, really sad.

Yep... 15 years of Bioware, Canadian company. The Contest is only in the US. It's just... you know...

And yea, Loto Quebec... It's a **** for online contests.

Same for Florida and New York I guess huh!

Yeah , eh, no.

Her position is symbolic at best in her own country... in ours she is just a 7million dollar expense whenever she visits and waves all freaking day...

Till the British colony realized France's was being retarded and covered all of USA/Canada territory except the american east coast... then the brits sent in the troops... and we lost...

No one here is crying but you, with your constant crying about how other people appear to be crying. Did i forget to mention you are a sad and pathetic hypocrite with you constantly telling people to quit being childish when you ended up posting a useless troll picture?

Wow..just...wheee

That makes the whole waiting for the countdown and being a loyal fan sooooooooo worthwhile.

I realise its probably down to legal reasons, really I understand that aspect of it but I have to ask...

At what point on realising you'd have to ignore a fair amount of your fanbase did "Screw 'em" become a valid choice?

Its not world breaking for me I'm just I dunno...disappointed that a company thats so well known for the way it treats its fans like this.

Good luck to all you yanks that can.

FL and NY are excluded due to state laws.

Probably some new laws or regulations for contests that passed in FL and NY recently... Because I haven't seen any other contests in the past couple of years exclude these two states.

I suppose in this case the best you can do is write your congressmen :P

Even though i got screwed and pretty much the whole planet got screwed apart from a certain part of America.

These comments are very amusing! I am loving this thread so much, last time i got excited was when we were about to find that lad's house when he ruined the plot and spammed it all over the forums.

I am going back to brood in a dark corner and laugh.

good to know that Biowares community is US exclusive

Yar should only publish the games only in the US then...
