I doubt they will change the contest just because of what it is and how it's set up. Though I would not be surprised if Bioware comes up with SOMTHING to make up for the oversight ( wishful thinking?) that occured with those who were not included. Perhaps either a similar event? or maybe somthing unique for a game ( for free of course).

I just refuse to sell Bioware short, and they are limited in their capcaity to make certain decisions, however I can see them developing somthing regional for those not involved to attempt to make amends.

Please... don't be so naive...

I try not to man, but I merely speak from my own experience. I've worked in large corporations, and decsions that are made by those at the top, even those that negatively impact people who work there get made every day. I cannot say with full certainty that Bioware didn't have involvement, but I give them the benefit of the doubt based on my own history with the company and purchasing their products/support/community. It just seams so "not them" it makes me want to believe that.

Actually to a degree if Bioware is a subsidiary of EA and EA is the one whom is in charge of the promotional contest, Bioware would have no choice to follow through with the implementation of the contest as much as they may or may not disagree with it. Company Mandate does not exlude events such as this. So I think you are right to a certain degree. It would also explain why Bioware has not responded yet as they could be under issue not to.

I wonder what that confrence call was/is going/is currently like.

I don't see how the head of EA or anyone in EA higher up, them being over all the companies, would decide... EA Guy1 :LETS FORCE BIOWARE TO HAVE A DUMB WASTE OF TIME CONTEST,
EA Guy2: YEAH IT COULD HAVE AN EPIC TIMER TOO
EA Guy3:SWEET IDEA 1 and 2.

You have to understand, Bioware is not a separate company. Their studio, games, and any other development since being purchased back in 2008 is the property of Electronic Arts. Now they are only a development studio within Electronic Arts, meaning they don't have a say in the business side of things. People here assume that Bioware is it's own company, and its not.

Neh, if we will want to exclude from the next event/thing everyone how was included this time, then we will just sink to BW-epic-fail level. I will need to stay in the shower for years to clean this **** off of me. US comunity (damn, now this sounds too funny) had nothing to do with this.

Funny, I got banned a few months ago from EVERY EA owned game I had (for 7 days) for a post I made on this forum.
Now people are getting upset because they can't participate in an auction.

And these two statements relate how exactly?

I just find it amusing that I got banned for 7 days, thought nothing of it, and a bunch of wienies who couldn't get in a contest are upset, crying foul and raging. Teen angst much? Lol.
This is a common practice in contests, have any of you ever read the fine print to one?

Dude...get a grip! THAT´S NOT why we are mad with them! Seriously, at least read a few pages before coming here spilling your venom. I can see now why you were banned. You CAN´T read!

Wrong....there would be no CEO of a development department.  Just because they fall under the parent company of EA, doesn't mean they themselves are no longer a company.

On January 4, 2008, we acquired all of the outstanding shares of VG Holding Corp. (“VGH”), owner of both BioWare Corp. and Pandemic Studios, LLC, which create action, adventure and role-playing games. BioWare and Pandemic Studios are located in Edmonton, Canada; Los Angeles, California; and Austin, Texas. This acquisition positions us for further growth in role-playing, action and adventure genres. We paid approximately $2 per share to the stockholders of VGH and assumed all outstanding stock options for an aggregate purchase price of $682 million, including transaction costs. Separate from the purchase price and prior to January 4, 2008, we loaned VGH $30 million. The following table summarizes the estimated fair values of assets acquired and liabilities assumed as of March 31, 2008, in connection with our acquisition of VGH during the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008

thats directly from their filings
