And I find the explanation hard to believe. Bioware/EA sell on the international market, their marketing and legal departments are no bunch of amateurs. Either they really did their job THAT badly or it was not a last second issure. And if it was not a last second issue, it would have been nice to tell the community about this issue and not hide behind legal smallprint.

I seriously doubt this announcement was being planned prior to those not in community showing their anger and discust. This is obviously a quick response to the situation which is why we've heard no response from BioWare up until now.
Basically what I'm saying is voicing your oinion works and you should practice this right. If you're a customer of company you should be treated with respect and not act like a mindless brown-nosing stooge, as some of the people posting here are implyling you should act. If you are unhappy with how a company is acting in certain respects then you should voice your distress and not just stay quiet as a parent would want a child to be, because we're BioWare's costumes not friends or employees.

Exactly. Don't care what reason they came up with to save face.
The fact that they bothered to come up with an excuse at all, and are taking steps to make it up to people... it may not mean a lot to people who are ranting about those EVIL LIARS(!!!!!!11) but it's enough for me. I'm capable of forgiving and (mostly) forgetting*.
*Unless this happens again. Second chances I can do. Nobody gets third chances

I accept the apology, but I thing it is very easy to write something like that - remaining silent was not an option in my opinion. They had to say something.
Now deeds must follow the apology and before I have not seen the deeds, I'm not fully convinced.
And: I don't take bull**** explanations very kindly.

Me either, but I'm willing to try to be optimistic.
And let's be honest, whatever the truth, this kind of explanation was the only one ever likely to be given. It enables them to apologise to the community, while also taking some responsibility for the problem, but not so much blame that they look too bad.
If they'd said "Gee, we didn't consider you folks, didn't realise you'd get so mad" perhaps it would be more accurate (perhaps not), but in any case an admission that they didn't consider a large group of their fanbase would be akin to suicide.
It's a compromise that allows both sides to move on, so that's fine by me.
