I wasn't expecting anything major, after all its a community event but to limit it just isn't very ... nice.

For those that win whatever the heck thats available (I've no idea I stopped reading when it said limited to almost all of USA) then good for you.

Edit: Renegade +12 for my post

Lol I think the Epic was for Epic fail. Good job BioWare on bringing an Epic fail event and failing to include your non-eligible fans. I live in the USA and you still fail to impress.

Bioware i can't even try to put into words how deeply this hits me. I'm a fan and i was always seeing me as member of this Community.

I guess i was wrong since i live in Germany and thereby am excluded from your Community.

Thanks for blowing that in my face so clearly.

At least you tell me when you break up with me. Not like some certain **** who has born my son without telling me.

I'm really sad.

Bye

Just for the sake of it, and since this was on the old thread (good job on locking it in two seconds):

European Union's Anthem

As I said before, at least we have a GREAT anthem!

Hey, maybe this whole thing is out of jealousy.

Epic community event? maybe should do something then that the whole community could participate in before throwing that kind of words around. I guess I'm not a part of the community by BW/EA standards, well no more money for you.

I hope BW suffocated to death from the stink of this "epic" failure.

There must be some law's against advertising an event and then discriminating against certain people because they live in a different country.

You could argue it's equal to discrimination of sex, race and religion.

You can buy our products but you can't take part in an event because you are not X. This is discrimination.

You advertised a community event that is not open to everyone that is part of the community, this is false advertising.

If this was done by the a company that is based in teh UK you would be getting shafted by OFCOM.

Sorry Chris but even though I'm from the USA this is nothing but a epic fail in my book. Bioware epic community event for one should include everyone in every country that is part of this community. Also I just see this as a way to get peeps that never Bought any of the listed games that give you big token points to buy and pad the bottom line. If it was something epic for the community it should include the whole community, and if it was to be a token based system, it should be for use on buying some additional content for present games and such. So all your supporters could get something out of it, not just a few that buy every game on this list, and tweet their life away.

This is bull**** Bioware. Incredible crap thing to do to the other fans. So we are good to buy your products but not good to participate in you community is that it? That is the message your guys are sending.

Even CANADA is excluded. What is this?

I for one i´m no longer a fan and hope that you all burn in hell!

Hmmm, closed the countdown thread, eh?

I'm in the U.S. - and I want no part of this lame contest.

Bioware - you screwed up. Big. Hope you realize that.

Is it just me or is one page completely gone?

It was four pages, before I reloaded... now only three...

I'm curious about that too, I'm honestly expecting some kind of feedback for the non eligible fans both in the US and abroad. After a six day countdown, announcing an online auction that only a portion of your fanbase has access to is just shameful.

CIA black ops don't trigger that kind of blow-back as an average marketing stunt does... [/cynicism]

29th march 2010 - Bioware redefines the word "epic".

No problem with the contest limitations, but I don't see any reason why it deserved a counter.

It means for them to get rid of all those pesky customers who are not us-citizens so that they concentrate on them. What is easier than thinking about what to do with a large comm? Getting rid of it!
