I wish people would stop letting Bioware off the hook all the time by blaming EA. I love Bioware's games too but come on...they have some say over their own marketing.

I can since all the noticable screw ups have happenned since EA took over.  :D

I'm just glad Bioware is still around since most developers assimilated by EA normally only last about 1 to 2 years before being disolved and there IP's taken to be turned into yearly garbage fest releases.

Patch v1.3 broke my game.  enough said.

Patch 1.3 of what game may I ask?

DAO probably

This is what I could find on the web

"In Florida and New York, games of chance with total prizes exceeding $5,000 must be registered and a bond must be posted. Once the winners are announced, a winners' list must be provided in order to release the bond.

For many Internet content sponsors, it is simpler to prohibit certain states' residents from participating in the contest than to comply with these extra, somewhat burdensome procedural requirements. This is the rationale behind the common limitation in many contest rules, 'void where prohibited,' or more specifically, 'void in Florida, New York and Rhode Island.
For many Internet content sponsors, it is simpler to prohibit
certain states' residents from participating in the contest than to
comply with these extra, somewhat burdensome procedural requirements.
This is the rationale behind the common limitation in many contest
rules, 'void where prohibited,' or more specifically, 'void in Florida[/b],
New[/b]
York[/b]
and Rhode Island.'

Since the Internet is accessible worldwide, Internet
sweepstakes sponsors may want to limit participation to United States
residents only. Alternatively, the sweepstakes must address each
country in which someone could access the promotion. The laws and
regulations of contests[/b] and sweepstakes vary widely from country to
country. For instance, certain countries (Belgium, Malaysia, Norway)
prohibit sweepstakes altogether, while other countries (including France
and Spain) require registration and payment of fees. Limiting contest
access can be done through legal notices or computer technology
capable of identifying the geographical local of the proposed
participant. Additionally, the duration of the contest, and especially
the deadline for entries, should be stated in terms of dates and
precise times in a specific time zone. "

...oh well. I really don't my information to be in some database anyway just because I won a cup. I really wish people would stop whining about free stuff. you'd think this was the only US-only contest in the history of mankind

There's that, to be sure. But BW said community event. Community. I was unaware that community was a such a loosely defined term. They could have included a notice that due to legal reasons, only US residents are allowed to participate. Now look what happened.

While its not really important, I find it funny that this includes Rhode Island in the prohibition of similar contests, but the bazaar includes it in their 'auction'.

Lovely.  Have a kick in the nuts, Europe.

Let not forget Flordia and New York to they kicked us in the groin just before they jumped over to stomp EU in the nutz. Nothing like using several states nuts as your stepping ladder to help you stomp the other half of your market share...All I can say is this is what happens when you attach EA to you as managing partner....

Hey EA and Bioware FU you too.

Can someone help me figure out how to add this banner as my dig. My computer skills tend to range from abysmal>decent, this is something I never toy around with.

This one was more hype than substance. I am not interested in collecting BIoWare memorabilia just purchasing expansion packs.

Ah, I didn't really like DAO, I enjoyed the story but ran into too many problems with the battle system.  But that was released after EA got there hands on Bioware so my comment is still justified :D

Am I the only one who thinks this would have ended better if the countdown had ended with "We're no strangers to love. You know the rules and so do I!"

Actually, Bioware commented on that...

"This video contains content from Vevo, who has blocked it in your
country on copyright grounds."

Oh, not again!

Look up, someone has posted a working link !

Yes, but I saw and heard Rick Astley, so closed it VERY quickly.

Legal retrictions differ in those states, means it's more work for EA to set up a contest for those states. EA doesn't like more work...

My latest "entry" to the "contest":

@biofeed Master Li was my favorite #JadeEmpire character. He wasn't from the US though, so he doesn't count right? #BioWareBaazar #Fail

which banner you want?

if you have the url to the image. go to your profile meny -> forum meny and in the signature part put [-img-] URL to the image here [-/img-] and it will work. Make sure to remove the "-" from the BBCode though :)
