So any statements yet from Bioaware/EA why the rest of the world is excluded ?
No and I doubt we will ever see any.

It's for legal reasons.

Still doesn't explain why they advertised it to everyone !
Oh wait, you're right. One little trivial detail makes my entire valid argument based on logic null and void.
The point is, if they hadn't advertised it to everyone, it wouldn't have been as bad.
There's really no POINT in advertising that they will be running a contest which is only available in some areas. That would of helped NOTHING.

If it's just for legal reasons, I don't see why they have to try and hide like a dog with their tail between their legs. They know they botched the marketing for it as well.
This. Exactly what i thought about this

Best comment since the countdown ended.

Is it better to make everyone wait, then tell them that they can't take part and let them post over 50 pages of disappointment ?

Bioware needs to make more games / DLC's / expansions not whack crap timers up for boring comps.
Oh and Awakenings needs a patch too, cheers.

You're missing the point
By 15 lightyears, give or take a couple of paces.
No, you are. Just because they COULD of done something does not mean that what they are doing NOW can be changed.
Still missing the point, what could have been done has little to do with changing anything in the now. Simply the majority of us want some sort of recognition as to why it was stated that this was going to be a US only event as opposed to their EPIC COMMUNITY EVENT that required a countdown timer for 6 days. Similar events that were nation/continent exclusive didn't get such big advertisment - point and case being the Candadian Xbox ME2 players going to BioWare....

So how long do people plan on keeping these sigs?
As long as I want... that could be very well forever... but at least it will be there until someone at BW and/or EA make an apology...
I'd keep mine on even after as a reminder. Like, "Hey! Don't do something stupid now..."

Let's not forget about a HUGE clock countdown that the GAMING community has following for days, someof us hoping that it would bring us new of something EPIC related to GAMES. An Epic DLC, Expansion, Sequel. I really don't care for toy soldiers and stuff like that. Game for me is what I can play in my PC. I love BW's games since BG and their waste of time and effort to make this Epic thing into a total failure for the largest part of the GAMING community, is disappointed.
5 months waiting for some bugs to be erradicated, terminated, anihilated and nothing. But a bazaar they're pretty fast to make happen? And what about the server crash at 0:00:00:00 ? Shouldn't they be prepared for some huge traffic? They invited their whole community to the party but when we came, the ballroom is too small to handle all the people and only US residents got their name in the guest list? So, why invite us at all? And for a party that is not starred by major artists, like DA or ME actual game stuff. But by some secondary band that most of us haven't heard about, do not care about and was sold to us as an Epic band.
I came to a Led Zeppelin concert and found it was "Repolho Nervoso" (or Nervous Cabbage) playing. have you heard of them? Me neither! And I can't get into the concert because my name is not in the list. Ok, I don't want to get into that anyway. I want to know why was I invited and spent 6 days in a queue to be barred at the door.
Dragon Age - BioWare's Map of the World - EPIC FAIL

I think you may be the only Anti-Bazaarian in this thread with a valid point.

Maybe. But why announce a huge epic community event to exclude many of the members ? It's just a strange idea. Why not tell us immediately, why let us wait and then disappoint us ? That's not really good PR
