Well, If I recall correctly, Florida and NY might have some State Controlled Lottery. You know, Laws and acts emanating from those might **** up a lot of contests and some parts might be illegal in some new administrative acts from those State Lotteries. Wanting to avoid a fine for a contest, they preferred to forbid it in those 2 States.intersect wrote...

All those people that are from Florida and NY that are complaining, blame your local State Law. Those that are not from the US, Blame Bioware...
Learn how to whine.
I'd like to unsderstand what state law this violates, seeing as I've participated in many contests exactly like this, namely, the mountain dew warcraft contest (same token thingies, etc)
They wouldn't have screwed up those 2 States for arbitrary reasons.
As for the rest of the World, especially Canada... now.... that's just bloody lazy on their part.
Aww this makes me sad, but I'm not mad nor going to complain, rather, I'm going to play some Mass Effect:unsure:

Blah, damned be the pricey PC's and expensive prizes! I would have been overjoyed to have a simple N7 tee-shirt, or a Cerberus sticker...

Why not to let people exchange their tokens for Bioware Points? That could solve that "USA only" problem.
Maybe not 1:1 ;-)

I get it though your sentient machines millions of years old with complete control of the universe and yet you let one 30 something year old human take you all down. Maybe the reapers are inspired by the people who think screwing most of your loyal customers over is a "smart" business plan.

This is something that actually has merit.
I hope the dev's reading these forums pick up on this one.
If we can't be a part of the community event, at least this would show some kind of acknowledgement that we can at least pretend to be part of it.

Having a licensed CE, a Visa credit card and a PayPal account I can't officially buy a Mass Effect DLC because someone from Russia isn't allowed to purchase Bioware points. Oooookay.
But you could've informed us the 'epic event' is for US gamers only. Fans from the whole world had been waiting for this and I guess the official apologies would be very appropriate in this situation.
