There would of been 50 pages of disappointment either way.
Sorry, I'm caling BS on that comment. If all they had done was announce this contest as a news item on the front page (same as the DLC and commic book announcements), and added "Sorry, but for legal reasons this contest is only available in the U.S." then the worst you would have seen would be a 3-4 page thread by some butt-hurt Europeans (probably the French

I can't wait for this random bystander conversation on the Citadel in ME3:
Turian: "It's an outrage!"
Salarian: "I don't understand why they didn't express beforehand that the credit giveaway was limited only to humans."
Turian: "Epic Citadel Event MY ASS!"
If they added that to ME3 they can screw me over a thousand times, I will still love them eternally!

I have a question about the prizes.
If and when I win a prize, does that mean I win the entire stated quantity of that prize? I really don't want to win dozens of t-shirts... Or, are they bundling certain prizes together?
Anyone answer my question?
Nope, I think you win only one...
They claim that only "412" prizes will be given out, yet there are over 2189 items up for auction.

Guys.
It's for legal reasons.
Just like any contest.
It doesn't mean BioWare or EA are ageist, racist, or sexist.
Knock it the eff off.
You're missing the point
By 15 lightyears, give or take a couple of paces.
No, you are. Just because they COULD of done something does not mean that what they are doing NOW can be changed.
Still missing the point, what could have been done has little to do with changing anything in the now. Simply the majority of us want some sort of recognition as to why it was stated that this was going to be a US only event as opposed to their EPIC COMMUNITY EVENT that required a countdown timer for 6 days. Similar events that were nation/continent exclusive didn't get such big advertisment - point and case being the Candadian Xbox ME2 players going to BioWare....
I think you may be the only Anti-Bazaarian in this thread with a valid point.
Most of the people in this thread aren't upset over the actual contest legalities. Most people are not pleased with the way Bioware chose to promote and hype this event. As well, most of us are concerned about the lack of responce.
I'm a Canuck. I'm used to not getting into US contests. However, I am usually aware ahead of time that this is the case. Not given a countdown timer to an "epic community event", only to find out it wasn't marketed properly.
That said...I really don't see why they couldn't have contests for the rest of the world outside the US as well. Lots of contests are open to people outside of the US as well, so it's not an impossibility.

I'm Anti Bazzaar because it's only for USA and 'selected players' that long on at a 'selected time' at the Bioware forums.
Nah not really lol but as an Aussie Bioware fan all the hype just totally let me down, as i'm sure it did in every other non American/Canadian country.

No they are just stupid or there marketing department at least.
BioWare does not set country law.
I didn't say they did. If you advertise a "epic community event" then everyone in the community should be able to participate. If not everyone can thane we should have been informed of that before the countdown even started.
That's what's make them stupid.

Note: the response above is not real, I'm specifying this in case I get in trouble for false info or something :innocent:
