What I don't get it is how an auction was ever thought to be an "Epic Community Moment". Exclusion of fanbase aside I don't see how putting a 7 day timer on an auction was going to make anyone happy.

Yeah, I was expecting something substantive. All the gaming websites/forums were speculating. Now Bio looks bad.

This should have been standard release stuff, not a timer. The next timer will be mocked horribly if they ever do it again, even if it's a legitimately big announcement like a new IP.
