I have to say......I never seen such an epic community event.
BioWare deserves credit for that.
I think this thread is faster than the Tali thread.....

Nothing equals the Tali thread. But unlike this one, the Tali thread scares me and i don't dare to post there.

The Tali thread can be very helpful if you have random questions because in this thread is ALWAYS someone which guarantees you a fast reply.

Nah - they'll just keep deleting the pages of trash without actually responding.

The amusing thing: Many hours have past, Chris and his gang members have locked numerous threads and none of them have taken ANY time to address an issue that is CLEARLY effecting a large segment of the Community; a community THEY are supposed to be managing.

This is having a detrimental impact on Bioware's image as a company. They are already plagued by accusations of not providing high quality DLC and also dispensing a lacklustre expansion for DAO. They are already renowned for poor community management techniques. They've already caused wide discontent due to their use of a countdown timer on international sites for a US-only viral marketing campaign.

I mean this sort of thing HAS to improve, especially with an MMO due in the next year. You can't expect to run a successful MMO if you take this approach to Community Management. You can't expect to bread a successful Bioware Social Network to drive your game content sales (due to an increase in the lack of quality out of your studios) if you can't actually manage a community.

I don't want compensation. I just want someone from Bioware to come in here and say, "Yes guys, we screwed up royally. We misused the countdown timer, we shouldn't have over-hyped the event and we're very sorry for all of that." If it is a mistake that has led to this then why not come in here and say, "we think it's a mistake and we're looking into it at the moment."

Stop pissing around and get on with doing your jobs WELL. Seriously. And fire whoever came up with this idea. They are total idiots and overpaid; I could do their job better than them.

This is by far the worst use of the word "epic" ever. Bioware...you have some 'splaining to do.

I'm Anti Bazzaar because it's only for USA and 'selected players' that long on at a 'selected time' at the Bioware forums.

Nah not really lol but as an Aussie Bioware fan all the hype just totally let me down, as i'm sure it did in every other non American/Canadian country.

Cause Canada is eligable for the contest right?

I guess its just wishful thinking to 'hop over the border' and then say hey i'm here now, GIMME GIMME GIMME! lol.

So why hasn't bioware responded to any of this? I'm pretty sure that they are well aware that this is a big old fail on their part.

If they lock this thread, then it's a damned infringement on my first amendment rights. Hell, at least I still have those-- AND BIOWARE CANT TAKE THAT AWAY! :P

Actually, they can. You can't go into a movie theatre, ****** on the couches and complain there's ****** on the couch to the entire movie theatre then call out the first amendment when you're forced to leave.

I meant they couldn't take away my right to complain. . . 'tis why I added the ":P" afterwards. And it's a spin on "And they can't take that away~" part of the whole "God Bless the USA..."

While there is at least one mod active, I think this topic won't just be closed. BioWare probably realizes the situation will escalate if they do.

I've been on a few boards though where the common practice with situations like these was to sticky the biggest complaint thread, wait for it to fill up with drivel, then lock it and redirect everyone to a new a thread, and keep doing this til people get tired of complaining.

By the time the final sticky thread is unstickied and left to drift off to the bottom of the forums it seems like people barely complained at all...

I guess that practice has made me a bit sceptical of sticky threads' immunity to lockdown.

Well if that happens, the least we can do is have fun in them all since we can't participate with the rest of the community.
