Maybe you should announce on your post that you exclude anyone outside the US.

This Contest is only open to residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia with the exception of residents of Florida and New York.

EPIC fail!

Chris, it would have been better to have been clear up-front that this is only for (most) US residents. Instead of adding to our goodwill towards Bioware, this countdown kinda disappointed a lot of folks.

I agree, how about a word to the people left out.

Kinda? I was really exited for 30 min before the count down ended. Then a few minutes that the site failed only to find out that I'm excluded for the whole thing.

Its a big disappointed

It would have been nice that to let us know that it's something only for america earlier bioware.

Hmm, I guess this is one time where we cocky New Yorkers can't say NY is the best state

So my money is not apprciated by you enough to include me in this "epic" because I live in the UK. Well that blows, my friend, that really blows.

I think what we have here is a difference in understanding of the words "Epic" and "Community".

*shrugs*  I'd rather understate than overstate.  The internet is way too prone to drama.

That said, I'd been looking forward to this for the better part of a week, only to be told that I need not apply (inspite of already having lots of points due to the games I've bought and registered).  It's certainly a letdown.

Don't take it wrong Chris as I live in the US but for US residents only is very lame. Bioware has fans across the globe & isn't bioware based out of Canada? I'm betting this is an EA restriction more so then a Bioware one...

Yes it would! Hanging on for five days watching that stupid countdown only to find out your excluded. I'll be thinking twice about buying BioWare points in the future.

Just because I know hundreds of people are going to fill this thread with negative comments, I want to point out that I think this is indeed super EPIC!!

Thank you BioWare for doing this contest because the prizes are awesome and I'm going to work my butt off to win the ones I'm eying. It's really sad and unfortunate that all my friends outside the US wont be able to participate because I won't get to compete with them and trade trash talk along the way and congratulations for winning prizes. I really feel for them and I wish they could play too.

Even so, this is awesome. I intend to have fun. I intend to win prizes. BioWare, you rock.

It's cheap, and it's below the belt. It's something a big greasy money-grubbing company would do.

I wonder.

After yet another failing on Bioware's part I am rethinking my devotion to the brand Bioware and would appreciate it if you could tell me when you actually stopped caring about your loyal fan base who have been delighted by what you USED to produce. Bioware what happened to you, where has my old friend gone ? you look like my old friend you talk like my old friend, but you are not my old friend where is my FRIEND ?

Bah, bah, bah, bah, bah HUMBUG (not what I really wanted to say/write)

It does seem a lot like false advertising..."bioware community(?) event"

That tends to imply that this event is for the WHOLE community.

Tsk tsk Chris, will you or someone from Bioware come and explain this misleading advertising to the part of the community that have been excluded from this "epic event?"

This speaks volumes for what Bioware considers their "community". Screw you too, Bioware.
